For everyone's clarity. Here's the naming system for roles that the casters came up with and are using for the MPL-PH Season 6.
● Hyper Carry
- Mid. Main funnel/carry. #1 in farm priority. Double buff/Turtle holder. Usually part of the 3 in 1-3-1. (ie. Ling, Lancelot, Yi Sun Shin, etc.)
● Side Laner
- Side lane who's play priority is kill participation over lane maintenance. Usually translates to a 2nd carry. Usually part of the 4 man teamfight in 1-3-1 comps. . (ie. Esmeralda, Hayabusa, X.Borg, Helcurt, etc.)
● Off Laner
- Side Lane who's play priority is maintain the lane and establish a 1-man lane pressure. (ie. Uranus, Thammuz, Masha, Hilda, Balmond, etc.)
● Utility Support
- Dubbed to be as "Pos 4" or "Roam". Offensive Supports that usually dish out significant amount of damage but can also be utility based supports like for vision or healing. Has some farm priority for items such as Necklace of Durance. Usually part of the 3 in 1-3-1. (ie. Pharsa, Valir, Selena, LouYi, Estes, Natalia, etc.)
● Main Support
- Most of the time, the Tank Support with little to zero farm priority. 1st mask holder. Usually part of the 3 in 1-3-1. (ie. Khufra, Atlas, Hylos, Tank Chou, etc.)
