Going back home to Michigan very soon
A high school graduate's father was in attendance for the pomp and circumstance.
I learned to crochet when I was very young- around the age of 8. Little did I know then, that the craft would become my go- to for mindfulness and pleasure alike.
Memory bears are approximately 10" wide x 13" high. This specific group of bears was made from a suede jacket that belonged to a dear friend of mine. These bears found their way home to AZ, Sweden, and Colorado.
My journey as an end of life doula took another turn last year when I was first presented with sentimental fabric belonging to the sister of a grieving friend. The friend asked if I could make something from the fabric- maybe a mask (a sign of the times). I sensed that the fabric was far too important to be used for that, and respectfully declined her suggestion. That very moment, the thought of a teddy bear popped into my mind. I proposed this to my friend, and she hesitantly agreed to go with my suggestion. That was the day I began another segment of my journey as a healer...
