YOU ARE NOT ALONE
It is time to honor the LGBTQIA+ community because June is Pride Month. Others should not establish our identities for us; we must do so ourselves. Let us always be truthful to ourselves and express our true feelings. Don't hide who you are because, regardless of who or what you are, you matter and are valuable to everyone. Keep in mind that you're not alone.
In Another World by Rasaq Malik
In another world I want to be a father without
passing through the eternal insanity of mourning
my children, without experiencing the ritual
of watching my children return home as bodies
folded like a prayer mat, without spending my
nights telling them the stories of a hometown
where natives become aliens searching for
a shelter. I want my children to spread a mat
outside my house and play without the walls
of houses ripped by rifles. I want to watch my children
grow to recite the name of their homeland like Lord’s
Prayer, to frolic in the streets without being hunted like
animals in the bush, without being mobbed to death.
In another world I want my children to tame grasshoppers
in the field, to play with their dolls in the living room,
to inhale the fragrance of flowers waving as wind blows,
to see the birds measure the sky with their wings.
The poem was one of many he wrote in response to the impact of the incessant bomb blasts in Nigeria's northern states on the lives of people in Kano, Maiduguri, Kaduna, and Borno, among other places.
With the theme of mourning as a leitmotif, In Another World is an attempt at exposing and analyzing painful emotions.

HAIKU
Haiku is a type of short form poetry originally from Japan. Traditional Japanese haiku consist of three phrases that contain a kireji, or "cutting word", 17 on in a 5, 7, 5 pattern, and a kigo, or seasonal reference. Similar poems that do not adhere to these rules are generally classified as senryū.
Two Leaders
The 2022 National Election can be considered as the most divisive and contested referendum for the country's highest public office. It's a high-stake, high-risk competition, wherein the top contenders for the office and their supporters, put up intense pressure on them to win. Focusing on the top two contenders, it became a race between one seeking a return to power and the other one seeking a significant shift in government power.
The Philippine election, as it should be, is a turning point for the country's democracy. As the campaign period became intense there were many colors in the streets, but red and pink were the most prominent. For some, they believe that if the red party wins, it will spell the end of Philippine democracy; however, others hold on to the hope that if elected, he may continue what his father has done to make the country thrive. On the other hand, the pink candidate gave citizens a choice of having a “cleaner” governance and that the country's future would be brighter and will be led by a more compassionate leader if elected as president.
After all that has been said and done, the people have spoken, the ballots have been cast and the results were out. Some have rejoiced, while others were disappointed. But, in the end, we all hope for good governance and that those individuals will contribute to a brighter future, after all, we are all on the same boat and we all share the same love for our beloved country.

On this day, the well-known story of Maia and her financially-abusive adoptive family has been brought to light. The Adaption of The Journey to the River Sea written by Eva Ibbotson unmasks the wonderful adventure of Maia, a young orphan who journeyed to the Amazon River town of Manaus hundreds of miles up the Amazon to start a new life with her distant relatives— the Carter family, who isolated her from the wild beauty of the countryside around them; a once-in-a-lifetime journey that totally turned her life upside down. With the help of her clever governess, Maia finds moments of a brief escape from their stifling home and makes friends with a boy named Finn and a child actor called Clovis. Soon she is swept up in the human intrigues and natural wonders of the world around her. As she helps her new friends to follow their dreams and desires, Maia learns what is most important to her and where her own future will lie.
Join us on this day as we talk about an inspiring story of resilience, fortitude, and humility! Emphasizing the importance of showing kindness to others and never being quick to judge those who are different from us. Watch it now! Letzzzzgoooo!

Tag Cloud about "Sinigang"
The story "Sinigang" is about a relationship's mending and forgiveness process. Each of us makes mistakes that can cause harm to others. It might be difficult to forgive, especially when he or she makes mistakes that have a lasting impact on your life. However, the only way to make your life more serene is to learn how to forgive.
"Oh you never really love someone until you learn to forgive"

Eyo Guys! Wassup! I just want to share with you a video about the Salbabida Story.
Here are some of the things I've learned about becoming a "salbabida" from Efren Penaflorida. If we, the youth, can put these simple teachings into practice, we can truly make our world a better place.
I wrote a poem to my best bro and this was his reaction!
I have this funny image in my head
While I was laying down on my comfy bed
I imagined I was at the beach
just chilling in a tiny shed
As I look up I see a coconut tree
There was a green fruit falling towards me
The fruit fell on my face
I snapped back to reality
Because summer is on its way. Who's looking forward to going to the beach? I'm sure you're ecstatic. I'd like to share with you an amusing poem about the beach written by Jonathan Gilbert F. Ignacio. Prepare your bathing suits!
p.s. Jonathan spends much too much time daydreaming about the beach.
