Born in Belfast, Ireland, Dee Montero championed a diverse sound with a mixture of organic and melodic touches, twinkling synths and peaks. His acclaimed career includes some impressive accolades including a residency at Mambo Ibiza, a Pete Tong Essential Tune of The Year on BBC Radio One in 2017 for his epic and string heavy track ‘Halycon’, and most recently opening the immersive beach club ‘LUNA’, nestled in the stunning cliffside coast of Bali, Indonesia.

No stranger to the Australian dance scene, Dee Montero had crowds buzzing on his previous visits, and his next stop at the Howler Melbourne Theatre will be sure to not disappoint!

Floating Dreams are pleased to welcome support from local powerhouse Taglo has been a driving force in pushing forward the deep, melodic and progressive scene across the major Australia cities, and we are fortunate to have him share the stage with us this September.

Over at Floating Dreams HQ we are all dreaming of a European summer - thankfully this month on Cumulus Sounds has us dancing through the depths of winter in Melbourne 🪩💃🏻🕺

Cara has been a familiar face on dancefloors in the Melbourne House Music scene for over 15 years, falling in love with Classic House in local haunts such as Q Bar and OneLove at POW early on, then quickly evolving her music taste into a love for Organic House and Progressive/Melodic House and Techno.

Since starting out with her first club gig in May 2021 Cara has risen quickly, now holding a residency at Onesixone (Thursday and Saturday weekly) plus fortnightly/monthly/guest appearances at the Seeing Double, Sky Disco, Warehouse 3000 and Revolver Upstairs, The Emerson and Storyville to name just a few.

Career highlights so far include:
Supporting some amazing artists such as Anthony Pappa, Low Steppa, MANDY, Lo’99, Luuk Van Dijk, MK, Sasha, Monkey Safari and Angelo Ferreri.

Performed for DiscoBOX at both the Defected 2022 and Glitterbox 2022 Australasia tours.

Performed at Amsterdam Dance Event 2023 for an all Australian showcase.

Awarded Music Victoria’s Best DJ 2023.

June is heating up on Cumulus Sounds with the infectious and uplifting vibes of Argentinian 🤩🔥

Nicolas Garcia was born in the neighbourhood of Parque Patricios Buenos Aires, Argentina on February 7, 1990.

At his young age he frequented nightclubs related to electronic music, listening to artists such as Danny Howells, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, references of his style.

His love for music led him to become a DJ and Producer.

In 2016 he released his first track on an album released by the label Suffused Music - Initializing, Vol. 11. In 2018 he edited for the record label Superordinate Music - Eastern Forest (Original Mix) among other works.

He currently leads a musical cycle called “Anesthesia” of great repertoire in the south of the province of Buenos Aires.

This month on Cumulus Sounds we are delighted to welcome Melbourne based vocalist/producer 🥰

eM is an accomplished artist with several self produced albums and EPs over the last 15 years, alongside over 50 singles with various producers.

When other kids were out playing in the yard eM was cutting up cassette tapes and making her own mega mixes of her idols at the time - Wham, Madonna and Michael Jackson. eM has been involved with acoustic duos, singing with house and trance DJs, involved in a breakbeat duo, ran her own small club/party nights and did voiceovers for community and commercial radio stations such as Kiss Fm Melbourne and the Austereo Network.

Her first EDM release was with an Italian producer Roby Mannarini ‘I got love’ in 2008. From thereon eM has released tracks with numerous producers from around the globe. The 2nd release with Amsterdam born trance producer MaRLo ‘Capture’ hit no.1 on Trackitdown for 5 consecutive days in early 2010 followed by another hit track ‘People Under the Sun’ with French producer ‘Jerome Zambino’ which ruled Beatports top 10 with 3 of the mixes of this track in the trance and progressive charts for a couple of weeks.

eM started writing and producing her own material with her debut EP ‘Experience’ releasing in 2008. Alongside producing, eM has co-directed all her videos with Melbourne’s Hit66 Sound and Screen video production. With her first international gig in France 2008 alongside DJ producer Jerome Zambino, eM now does her own solo gigs using Ableton Live triggering percussion samples as she sings covers of popular sings mixed in with her own over progressive instrumentals. This live performance concept was debuted in Liverpool, UK in 2018 followed by a 2 year residency at Double Oaks Estate, a vineyard in regional Melbourne.

ADE 2023 eM opened up an all woman DJ event (LIA Series) organised by Modern Agenda Music (Canada) at Kashmir Lounge in the heart of Amsterdam with a return gig for 2024.

April on Cumulus Sounds is a real treat. In the lead-up to his first headline show in Melbourne, .08_ join us with an epic one hour set crammed with new unreleased tracks.

Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Blake.08 has quickly risen as a powerhouse name in the industry with EP releases ‘High Fidelity’ and ‘Eyes Ablaze’ on the world renowned label. In 2024 he has also secured himself a spot on one of Anjunadeep’s hottest annual events - Anjunadeep Explorations.

His signature melodic break-beat sound is heavily influenced by electronic dance pioneeers Kaskade, deadmau5, Skrillex, Eats Everything and Mat Zo.

Cumulus Sounds kicks-off for 2024 with the one and only James Beetham 🙌

For over 15 years, James Beetham has been carving out a unique sound in the electronic music scene as a DJ, producer/engineer, radio host, and label owner. With a lifelong love of progressive/electronic music underpinning everything he does, James’ ability to connect with an audience has seen him perform at iconic festivals, clubs, and warehouse parties across Australia.

As the founder of the globally recognised progressive house label Late Night Music, James’ presence in the progressive electronic music scene is felt far and wide. His original productions and remixes have received widespread support from industry giants such as Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Jamie Stevens, Subandrio, Kasey Taylor, Nicholas Rada, Praveen Archary, Sonic Union, Maceo Plex, and many more. He has also received remixes from artists such as Dmitry Molosh, Golan Zocher, Robert Babicz, Ewan Rill, and Loco & Jam.

In addition to his work in the studio and as a label owner, James is also an accomplished audio engineer. Having setup his own professional studio, James helps artists to perfect their mixes and achieve their musical vision in the studio.

James’ monthly radio show Friction on the internationally renowned Proton Radio is a testament to his passion for sharing great music with the world. His ear for sound has seen him become a sought-after engineer, while his ability to curate great music has made him a respected tastemaker.

Born and raised in the historic city of Buenos Aires, Fede Pals is a progressive house DJ and producer currently based in the city of Mallorca. Fede has been honing his DJ skills for several years, not only in his hometown but also in countries as diverse as Italy, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand. His mixes defy genre boundaries, seamlessly transitioning between downtempo, electronica, deep house, organic house, and progressive.

In 2013, Fede ventured into music production, crafting a distinctive sound that blends organic rhythms and melodies. His music draws inspiration from ethnic percussions, atmospheric grooves, and hypnotic synths. He has achieved significant recognition by signing and releasing tracks with esteemed labels such as 3rd Avenue, The Purr, Nordic Voyage Record, Massive Harmony, and Be Adult Music.

Last but not least in the Floating Dreams crew is Nat...

Nat has been playing music since the mid-nineties, initially as lead guitarist in a punk band as a young teen in Sydney. The Global Underground compilations exposed Nat to the likes of big-name progressive DJs such as Sasha, John Digweed, Darren Emerson, Dave Seaman, Sander Kleinenberg, Way Out West and Deep Dish, and Nat swapped the electric guitar for a set of decks in her late teens

Moving to Melbourne in the early 2000’s cemented her passion for the electronic music scene and DJing. By then she had a healthy vinyl addiction and was a fan of record labels such as Bedrock, Renaissance, Baroque, Platipus, Yosh*toshi and dabbled in breaks, through the sounds of Plump DJs, Krafty Kuts and Stanton Warriors.

These early influences of progressive house and breakbeat still inspire her deep and organic house sets today. Nat also likes to showcase the work of female producers/DJs in her mixes, and this latest one includes tracks from Amonita, Dodeca, Forty Cats and Double Touch alongside faves such as Somelee, Marley Hughes and Mass Digital.

In recent years Nat has supported artists such as Sébastien Léger [All Day I Dream / Lost Miracle], Double Touch [All Day I Dream, TRYBESof], Martin Roth [Anjunadeep], Fede Pals [3rd Avenue; The Purr], DJ Koze [Pampa Records], Gerd Janson [Running Back, DE], GMJ & Matter [Meanwhile, Sudbeat], Weird Sounding Dude [Anjunadeep / The Soundgarden], Dosem [Anjunadeep] and Jim Rider [All Day I Dream].
