Mino is a forest that extends to the foot of Mount Mino in northern Osaka and is also part of the national park "Meiji no Mori Mino". Sumiyoshi-taisha is the headquarters of Sumiyoshi-jinja Shrine, which consists of about 2,300 temples throughout Japan. Sumiyoshi-taisha is one of the 3 largest Sumiyoshi shrines in Japan, along with Sumiyoshi-jinja in Shimonoseki and Hakata, boasting a history of over 1800 years.
