Diffuszed Studios is holding their monthly open decks night Friday Knock Offs - June 21st tomorrow evening, which is a great opportunity for anyone interested in electronic music to practice their skills or connect with others sharing the same interest.

I have also been granted the pleasure of playing a feature set of minimal and melodic techno from 9-10 pm.

Oortek’s (Ex. DAS BOOT) focus lies on the exploration of progressive, dark minimal and driving techno, and its synthesis with ethereal melodic elements and alien, otherworldly sounding psychedelika.

Driven by curiosity and a fascination with the unknown, she seeks to fully embrace the creative process and delivers intelligently crafted sets that draw the audience in.

Through the transmission of enticing auditory landscapes interspersed with unorthodox twists and turns, her musical sets serve as an antidote to the stale and ordinary.

Oortek grew up in the inner city environments of Western Germany, where her fascination with house and techno sounds first developed. After moving to Australia in 2013, she quickly discovered the underground music scene and refined her interest through continuous engagement with the community.

Oortek performed her DJ debut in July 2023, and has since played at a number of events held by Brisbane based organisers including Diffuszed Studios, Misheen Productions and Wizards of Kingston.

I will be opening the stage on Saturday at 10 am at Resonant Frequency Festival this weekend under the name of Octoclan.

I have uploaded my set from the Keep it Lit! Official West End West End Fire Festival Afterparty at Diffuszed Studios, if anyone is keen to have a listen, check it out.

I am combining minimal, melodic and psychedelic techno, with a particular focus on peculiar vocal elements and a strong progression of energy.

Throughout the process of planning and preparing this set I feel like I've been able to distinguish a much clearer direction of where I want to be heading towards music wise, therefore this has been a really great learning experience for me.

I am extremely excited to be playing a closing set after the West End Fire Festival at Diffuszed Studios Official Fire Fest Afterparty after a long night of numerous great artists, including one of my favourite local producers Audible Thought.

I've upload my recording from Space Misheen Vol. 1, I played the opening set so I tried setting the mood by playing some melodic tunes that turn darker later on.

Having obsessively stalked Wizards of Kingston for the last 2+ years, I have finally managed to trick them into accepting me into the crew and adding me to the Wizards of Kingston Pres. Spring Camp Out '23 line up.

I will be playing some dark techno from the motherland on Friday on the Beer Garden stage and some psychedelic techno on the Misheen Productions renegade stage.
