TVA PLANS POWER OUTAGE FOR COLLINWOOD AREA
THE TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY (TVA) HAS SCHEDULED A POWER OUTAGE FOR SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2, 2022, BEGINNING AT 12:01 AM THRU 6:00 AM FOR A TOTAL OF 6 HOURS. THIS OUTAGE OF THE COLLINWOOD SUB-STATION WILL AFFECT THE ENTIRE CITY OF COLLINWOOD, BON-AIR COMMUNITY, SOUTH WAYNE COUNTY FROM 605 HWY 13N TO THE STATE LINE, PUMPING STATION RD AREA, CYPRESS INN, BEVIS RIDGE, PINEY AREA, CROMWELL CROSSROADS, BEAR CREEK RD, AND THE LOWER ENDS OF MIDDLE AND LAST BUTLER CREEK.
THIS OUTAGE IS NECESSARY FOR TVA TO REPLACE DAMAGED EQUIPMENT. TVEC HAS WORKED WITH TVA TO SCHEDULE THIS OUTAGE WHILE MOST PEOPLE ARE SLEEPING. PLEASE MAKE ANY NEEDED PREPARATIONS AND AS ALWAYS, WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING AS WE WORK TO KEEP OUR SYSTEM UPDATED.

Governor Lee, Commissioner McWhorter Announce $447 Million in Broadband Infrastructure Investments Tennessee Governor Bill Lee and Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart McWhorter announced today that the state will award $446,770,282 in grants for the expansion of internet access across the state of Tennessee.
