Honoring a Hero’s Return
Mr. John Wardell has returned to the cliffs of Normandy nearly 80 years after he and his fellow Soldiers from the 2nd Ranger Battalion bravely scaled them during the D-Day invasion of World War II.
Mr. Wardell, now the last living member of his unit, stands as a testament to the courage, sacrifice and determination that defined that historic day.

African Lion Anniversary
This year marks the 20th anniversary of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM)'s premier joint exercise, led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa.

The sheer firepower of a tank round is like thunder and lightning. ⚡️
To be a 19K, an M1 Abrams Crewman, or a "Tanker," you must first make it through one station unit training. OSUT is broken up into phases designed to turn Civilians into Soldiers, followed by immersive specialized training in tank maintenance, driving, loading, and gunnery.
