Max ain't so Mad/Modd Maxx
Build page for a Restomod Mad Max Interceptor project.
Starting to get a better idea how to build the wide body we want for this build.
Training at Randall's Garage ~ Building Skills~ Moving Projects Forward~ One Class at a Time~ I had the privilege to travel to Dallas GA to put together a class tailor made for Randall and his friends. Music by epidemic Sound ...
Playing with some ideas for the Wide body set up while learning some basic metal shaping skills.
Modd Maxx got an Italian roommate today.
Got the driver side A pillar out. Here's some pics of what it looked like before. Complete Hack job yet I'm the butcher.
Clowns!!!! 😂
Me working on this rusty ass falcon trying to fix all the bu****it done to it in the past. 😂
When someone shares our build and the clowns start to comment.
Not sure why I should give a rat's ass about someone's opinion of our build that doesn't have a dollar in it but I thought this meme was funny so I made it and shared it for your entertainment.
After Saturday's update video we got the car back on the chassis jig and stripped it down to start the A pillar replacement. You can see in one pic the tar that someone put on as rust repair/prevention.
I think it's time we update the build goals/concept list. We are still restomod/racecar/AutoX car. Somethings have changed so we should share that with you guys.
The car will more or less just be a highly modified XB shell with Mad Max body features.
We went back to a Built 460 that will be 550 cu inch with a 10/71 blower. Pics of the blower are in another post.
We are picking up a RSG Tranzilla T56 6 speed tomorrow.
Still going to run the 2016 GT350 mustang suspension and it is already mounted to the car. It has Airlift suspension mounted as well.
We are moving the firewall back 6 inches for a few reasons like clearance and weight distribution.
We are dropping the now custom built floor pan a few inches, mostly because I am 6'5" and need the headroom.
Lots of other details but this is good highlight of what is happening.
Pics below are images that have inspired this build and it's evolution.
Lots of things lately. The Falcon is back on the chassis jig now that some repair panels have arrived all the way from Australia. Bare Metal Resto's does outstanding work!
Long overdue video. Enjoy the update. We have more updates to come with panel replacements and class with Kingdom Metal Works in the Fall.
More metal removal.
So gratifying to see this finally being a thing.
Starting on the front with v2 of the wide body kit
Stripping out the donor car to finish parting it out. If you didnt know, Ruut is back on Facebook. It didnt take long to make a video rant about marketplace.
110 race gas or E85 for the Modd Maxx project. Stock coyote with 6/71 running 7 lbs of boost.
As Barry would say "A piece from here and a piece from there."
Mocking up the blower manifold.
Our new toy. 64187 miles and been in storage for 27 years. Great candidate for being a nice driver. Needs all the bushings and other odds and ends replaced but is a solid car with little to no rust.
Picked up a new car to tinker with. Working with Bare Metals Restos to get some parts here for the Falcon so we have a minute to play around with the new car. Got to play with a cool rental when I went to make the deal on the new car so I made a review video.
