Since the November 5th show this year we have had a reflection on these 21years, and have been listening to our fans from that show, and you all have been asking for more shows and new music from us. We know it's been 8years since our last album Full Spectrum was released, and we have 3 albums worth of material sitting in our vault needing to be re-recorded. So with all of the asking we are listening and letting you know that you all are going to get new music from us in 24. I will have an update video soon explaining on what is going on with our plans for next year, and we want to hear from you all on where you would love to see us play. We want to play for all of you, even if it's only on the internet. We thank you all, and will have some more information here soon.

We like to thank everyone who came out to the show last night at the Funhouse. We really would love to thank Xavier Prime for his drumming talent making the show killer for us, and to Bunny Cult for the great photo here, and our friends in Friendship Commanders coming all the way from Nashville to play their awesome songs and share their new album Mass with everyone. This show has given us a new spark, and here soon we will do this again for you all. We have more stuff on the horizon and this show was just the start.

It's been 5 years since we have played a show, and we are very excited to return to the stage in support for Friendship Commanders on tour for their new album Mass. We are going to be playing this is 21+ free show on Sun Nov 5th doors at 7pm, and 7:30pm show start at The funhouse seattle Wa. We are very excited to celebrate also on the bill opening Death Spa.

I am always on the fence, and wonder if I should play more acoustic, and do more acoustic shows. I always wonder if our crowd would love an acoustic tour or shows. I just never know if people would be into it. So I am putting it out there because next year I might chance it and do it for who ever wants to see it.

We are stoked to be playing an all ages show with Of Lioness and Hangman's Park at The Loading Dock on in .
I have always had a push and pull with playing acoustic. I use the acoustic guitar as a tool to write metal/rock songs, find melodies, and to write lyrics with once the song is complete. There is a sense of awkwardness, and vulnerability I always get when I play the acoustic. I don't love it but I don't shy away from it either. I have come accustomed to playing with a full band and using loads of heavy distortion, that when I play acoustically it doesn't hit that rush. Is it because the vibe is different and the crowds are different....I just don't know, and I have wondered that for years. My acoustic music hasn't really fit in alot with crowds when I have performed solo, and it's not typical folk, singer songwriting/story telling, Americana style or even close to country music. I am giving all of you a snippet of a song I am currently working on that might turn a new leaf into something new. I really want to know would you like to see a solo acoustic show live or a TCIYT acoustically. I would love to hear all of your thoughts, and I may start booking some live acoustic shows if I know where to go. Love to hear of the thoughts.
I always try and figure new things out, and we have had alot of requests to bring this band back to the stage. We have not played a live show in some years. I personally know in my heart I need to bring us back to the stage in some form or another. We have 2 album and an 2 eps of music that we have released. Our 1st ep was very limited of 25 copies that we sold at early shows and one local CD store at the time. I know we need to release some new music of something, and I need to make due on promises I have made to all of you about anything musical wise. Me and Jerry (the Bassist) have talked trying to figure out what to do so we don't leave you all hanging. We are not willing to close this chapter yet, and we really want to ask you all our fans new and old what do you want to see from The Circus In Your Town. We are currently running as 2 Bass and Guitar, and we don't have the budget to hire a drummer for more then one live show. We have talked about performing to pre recorded drums from our albums, but just feel it would be lacking, and we would have to make some sort of a stage show to be more visually appealing to you all. We have talked about doing acoustic performances like the Snippet of the track Escape From Neverland below. We are trying to figure out this future because we are tired of sitting on it, and we would love for you the fans your advice on what we should do next. We thank you all TCIYT

Waves Like Weapons is starting to get going checkout there
and the social media hibernation is over. There has been alot of writing, practicing, recording, and getting ready to start booking some live shows. We are very excited to share these new versions of the songs we have been playing and molding since our beginning. We are looking for suggestions for where you would like to see us play in the or beyond. Bands to share the stage with or your favorite venue/bar, brewery, or anywhere that plays live music. It's time for the story, the concept, and the visual of Waves Like Weapons.

Writing hibernation has been fun, and I will have something to show here very soon. I have been really working on some programming drums trying to get things right and experiment. So stoked on this.
It's been a long time since I have just sat down and writen a song. I have alot of ideas from over the years that are just parts that I constantly work on. Last night I went back to basics, and decided to write with no concept on what to write. My focus was not to work on any previous ideas or revision to any skeleton songs that I have been working on from over the years, but to try something new and in the moment. I am very stoked on this new idea from last night becoming a song. I came up with 4 parts that flow really nice together and it has given me alot of inspiration to just write new music again. I am stoked to really see this unfold, look for a new drummer and get our albums and new music in front of the faces of people again.

I often wonder what a successful musician is..., and after all of these years..., I also wonder if I have ever made it to that level. For me It's never been, about money, fame, or just a record deal, but about the art of the music and craft of songwriting and playing the music I wanted to make, and create it live. I have never turned away from the business side of the music industry. I find each part of playing live music, making...then releasing music, promoting music, merchandising music, and managing music business interesting, intriguing, and cutthroat at times. The goal in our mind has always been for this band The Circus In Your Town to be self sufficient, and self sustainable in all of those areas. The common outlook has been to reach a global level on our own terms, whether it was possible or not. Our journey over these 20years has been a learning curve with bits of success, but a whole lot of failures that have followed. I find, and ask myself constantly, does all of these failures helped us grow as musicians or just make us frustrated to give up? This band may never be where we want it to be but I enjoy the ride, and I thank you all for being apart of our dream and making us the successful musicians we want to be whatever that goal may be.
