Dr. Ebrima Badjie

A MODERN FREEDOM FIGHTER FOR THE GAMBIA
Dr. Ebrahim N. Badjie former know as NELSON FELIX R. Reyes Von Hardenberg/Briscoe is an author, activist, pilot, astro physicist, astronomer, natural philosopher, company owner, photographer and grapic designer as well as a software and computer engineer and founder of “The Gambian Connection” he has been an executive and embassador for the UNHCR for almost 3 years years. Before that he was a member of several youth associations around the globe. As a Captain for the UN he was piloting Cargo planes in the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. With the proceeds he for example established help for children in Afghanistan, helping building a children's clinic in DRC Congo, a playground in the dominican republic. Furthermore he has been financing hundreds of “gambian backway Boys” in Europe. As well as taking them from overcrowded Italy to neighboring countries.
He is a social justice activist, UNHCR FREE Youth Ambassador and Youth Activist from Gambia. He held leadership positions with several youth led regional and international organizations and currently serves as the Youth Ambassador and Africa Coordinator of the The European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE). He was former Chairperson of the Central America Youth Panel (CAYP).
He founded also a Bus company as a partner of Meinfernbus in germany in 2015 after a severe injury in the war region of afghanistan in 2014. Later he founded a charity and helping organisation in the Gambia and germany called “ The gambian Connection”
Since 2017 he lives permanently in The Gambia from where he is still a strong activist for human rights and with his organisation involved in the gambian music industry as well as many charity and helping projects between the Gambia and Europe. He is also an activist against deportations.
Still Badjie can be seen working as a busdriver in germany and europe from time to time at his former company Flixbus.
He is a campaigner and strong advocate of the African Youth.
