G'day all, on a perfect day we popped in2 the beautiful Apollo Bay GC
This awesome 9 hole course is set right on the ocean with spectacular views! Only a very short course, but has some tuff holes including the par 4 3rd that has the green set behind a large sand dune. The wind would make this layout very difficult, but luckily we got it on a great day! Ripper course & definitely worth having a hit there.
Chris 95 & John 79
Until next time happy ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👍👏👏

Hey guys, we cruised to Sth West Vic & ended up @ the Timboon GC. This layout is a hidden gem located in the Otway's with a large dairy community. An absolutely beautiful course with massive gums lining the fairways. A 14 hole course (play 1,2,3 18 twice) is very undulating with gorgeous wildlife, water hazards & awesome greens. It was in mint condition & again a huge thx to the volunteers who make this layout sooo good!
Chris took 25 shots off her previous hitout here, while John, with a dreadful opening few holes improved slightly. Chris 113 John 94
Until next time happy ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👍👏👏

G'day all, we decided to tackle the wonderful Hidden Valley GC. This beautifully designed course is not for the faint hearted! On a sensational day, we negotiated this long course with bunkers & water hazards that made our hair curl! lol! Some awesome holes on a picturesque track with plenty of Roos to cheer us on. John played off the Black tees (what a huge mistake) 6,598 metres long, and had a 97. Chris played incredibly well to card a great 109 Amazing, ripper course, u've gotta play it. Until next time, happy ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👏

Hi guys, we recently returned to the Kilmore GC. This course is set in a beautiful scenic location, with some tough holes, not super long, but certainly a challenge, providing some extremely diverse, undulating & very unique holes. Great layout & strongly suggest putting this track on ur list. Chris had a great round and bettered her previous score, John had another round to 4get🤬🤬 Until next time, happy ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👏

Hey guys, we ventured to the Castlemaine GC in the Central Goldfields of Vic. This course has some awesome holes including the 10th, 11th & 12th. The greens were immaculate and precision with your shots was the key! The Devil's Triangle (holes 15,16 & 17 also provided us with a very serious challenge. Luv this place, and an absolute pleasure to play. Strongly recommend a round here!
Until next time happy ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👍👏

18/11/2023

Hi all, we had a go @ the sensational Bendigo GC. A scenic, picturesque course with 1 of the toughest front 9's u'd ever play! We both struggled early on the long holes, but we came home strong and carded a couple of reasonable scores, this wonderful course is certainly worth having a crack at, it was in fabulous condition! Until next time, happy golfing⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👏

Hi all, we recently tried to make amends for our bad scores @ the amazing RACV Goldfields Resort @ Creswick (near Ballarat) A beautiful day welcomed us, & NO excuses would be allowed. BUT, again this course proved too good again! Grrrrr! 🤬 Lol!
ALL we needed to do was hit the white ***ker straight, but we couldn't even do that! Anyway, it was sooo nice on this incredible course & we don't mind having to go back to try & beat this place! We'll post our scores next time! A bit embarrassing! Ha Ha! A fabulous course and a pleasure to play! Until next time, happy ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👏

Hi guys, we recently wrestled with the Benalla GC. On a glorious day, we teed off & put this awesome course under pressure. A very scenic (with heaps of bloody trees) Grrr, made it tough but we found our way up the fairways with ease! Woohoo! 👍 Some beautiful holes inc ALL the par 3's made it a wonderful day's golf on a great course!
Strongly recommend a crack here!
John 88 Chris 104
Until next time, happy golfing ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👏

11/11/2023

Hi all, we returned back to the picturesque Wodonga GC, this course beat us up badly last time we were here. With strategically placed bunkers, u need to hit that ball in the right places. An underrated course that was in mint condition and in great weather, we still couldn't get it right! Lol! Anyway, we enjoy this track and hopefully 1 day, we'll tame it. Luv the Par 3 16th hole, very scenic & challenging.
John 94 Chris 124
Until next time happy ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👍

10/11/2023

Something I say to John🤣🤣

10/11/2023

Hey guys, we tackled the Thurgoona GC (this course just hosted the NSW Open) Wow, it was in incredible condition & hitting off the blue markers made it soooo long! Grrr! In idyllic conditions, we both scrambled and posted a couple of reasonable scores on a wonderful, tough layout.
John 98 Chris 111
Until next time happy golfing ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👍

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 09/11/2023

G'day all, we ventured to the Mt Beauty GC. The weather was sensational & the views from this beautiful course were incredible The course was in immaculate condition, the greens were perfect An extremely hilly track (u would'nt wanna walk it) Lol, but, is was an absolute pleasure to play it. We both bettered our scores from our previous visit on this extremely long, tough course.
John 94 Chris 110
Until next time happy ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👍

08/11/2023

Hi all, we returned to the Corryong GC and when we rocked up, we thought they had greens instead of scrapes! Wow, they'd replaced the scrapes with synthetic greens.(see photo) (they seriously looked like greens) We've played on synthetic greens b4 and they were crap! Lol! BUT these were AMAZING and definitely WILL b a game changer for other courses wanting to improve membership. This super tough, tight course pulled my pants down, but Chris took 34 shots from her other score and we thoroughly enjoyed our round, it was in great condition and again, the volunteers do a fabulous job!
John 99 Chris 113
Until next time, happy ⛳️⛳️⛳️👍👍

Hi guys, Wow! Our 462nd course was an absolute beauty! Woohoo! Nestled @ the foot of the Snowy Mtns is the gorgeous Khancoban GC! A 9 hole (greens) course had some ripper holes! The par 3 5th (see photo) is a gem! Also the 6th a par 5 (Thread the needle hole) were a delight to play! Again, the volunteers who maintain these course are true legends! IF u ever get the chance, play this awesome course! Seriously, Khancoban GC is the home of the Kookaburra, they were literally everywhere! 👏
Anyway, we both had reasonable rounds & we will return 1 day!
John 92 Chris 102
Cheers & happy ⛳️⛳️👍👏

06/11/2023

Hey guys, we've been out & about again! We're currently up in the beautiful Albury/ Wodonga region! Today we chalked up our 461st course @ Bethanga GC! Not the best course (only 3 holes & we had to play it 6 times) Grrrr! Anyway, they had alternate tees! Country courses have only volunteers to maintain the course & it's a MASSIVE job! We appreciate what they do!
John 81 Chris 104
Woohoo! 👍👍⛳️⛳️👏👏

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 01/11/2023

Hi guys, we had a crack @ Mt Xavier GC (near Ballarat) to try & improve our scores! Unfortunately, that didn't happen, BUT, John went within 7 inches of a Hole in 1 on the 14th! Faaaaark, it was soooo close!! Grrrr!
The 2 didn't help my score, but it's a shot I'll NEVER forget! That's Y we play golf 4 moments like that! Anyway,
John 91 Chris 113
Cheers & happy ⛳️⛳️👍👍

23/10/2023

Next up we travelled a short distance to the amazing Oakleigh GC (sooo hard to believe the Monash Council want to close this unique, wonderful golf course)🤬🤬🤬 Why?
Anyway, it's a very short, but incredible, sensational 9 hole course, that is awesome to play! Chris struggled to repeat the mornings effort, and John kept finding trouble! Grrrr! We seriously hope that this course DOES NOT close!
John 77 Chris 99
Until next time, happy golfing! 👍👍👏👏⛳️⛳️

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 23/10/2023

G'day all, today we chalked up our 458th & 459th golf course's played! Woohoo! 1st up we ventured to Malvern Valley GC in Melb's East, what a beautiful 18 hole scenic layout, hard to believe we're only 20 min's from the CBD! It all started off swimmingly, Chris was on 🔥 with a 45 on the front 9 & she backed it up with a 43 on the back 9! Yippee! John also hit the course running but couldn't sustain the pace! An awesome short, but delightful course to play!
John 84 Chris 88 👏👏

Why not !!!!👏

Hi guys & gals, well, a beautiful evening in Melbourne, so we couldn't resist a quick 18 holes @ the lovely Bacchus Marsh GC! This course is set in bushland, with some amazing holes! The 14th downhill short par 4 is a delight to play! Then the 15th (again a short par 4 dogleg left) is also a challenge! Chris was hitting the ball beautifully, but the recently cored greens got the better of her, but still took 8 shots from her previous best! Yippee! 👏
John 94 Chris 105
Until next time, happy golfing! 👍👍⛳️⛳️👏

18/10/2023

This arvo, we had a crack @ the Wattle Park GC! A 9 hole (par 32) course! Easy hey? NO WAY!!! 5 (200m+) par 3's & walking it was super tuff! A lovely, picturesque course with sooo much history (100 + years old) A special thx to Dave that we played with on the front 9 (he gave us heaps of tips about the course) and thx to the wonderful Pat who was such a delight to play with! Not the scores we hoped for, but, it's seriously underestimated, and is a wonderful course!
John 86 Chris 102
Until next, happy golfing! 👍⛳️

Hi guys, well! , The Tragic's were @ it again today! Woohoo! Alarm @ 4.45am for 7am tee off @ the amazing Freeway GC next to the Eastern F/W in Melb! Wow! What a sensational layout! 👍 A short, but demanding course that has some beautiful holes! The 142m (88m for Chris) 16th is fraught with danger! Gulp! An awesome Par 3 with bunkers bigger than the Sahara desert! Lol! Anyway, we did ok overall!
John 86 Chris 98!
👍👏⛳️

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 16/10/2023

After an awesome day yesterday, the weather Gods today were not on our side! We teed up @ St.James GC in very windy conditions! This 9 hole course is tough @ the best of times, but today was challenging to say the least! Anyway, we soldiered on and Chris had trouble adapting to the long grassed fairways and slick scrapes! (she didn't want to be here) HaHa! But, to her credit, she ate some concrete, but failed to beat her previous score! John was very consistent (for a change) and carded a decent score!
John 92 Chris (we lost count) 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Until next time! 👍👍⛳️⛳️👏👏

16/10/2023

Next up we tacked the beautiful Kialla GC! This wonderful picturesque course was in awesome condition! Again, Chris had a point to prove after she got her butt kicked last time & she turned it on & put this course to the sword! Woohoo! A couple of chip in's and some amazing shots, she got her revenge! Yippee!! John 93 Chris 101

16/10/2023

G'day guys, this w/end we headed to N.E Vic. We teed off early at the Murchison GC that caused us some grief last time! A long sand scrape course that is super tough! Chris shaved 16 shots off her best score 👏👏 while John needed a chainsaw in his golf bag! Grrr!
John 96 Chris 112

Murchison

11/10/2023

Next we travelled to Werribee Park GC! Again, we've had a go @ this course b4 & Chris wanted revenge! The course was in very ordinary condition, but again Chris was on fire & took 39 shots off her previous encounter there! Not in a hurry to go back there! Ha Ha!
John 101 Chris 107
Until next time, happy golfing! 👍⛳️👏

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 11/10/2023

Hi guys, today we challenged a couple of courses in the Western suburbs of Melbourne that Chris had a beef with! They kicked her ***e previously, but today she got her revenge & smoked BOTH of them! Yippee! Altona Lakes GC was an early tee off, this tough 9 hole layout proved to be the ultimate challenge! We struggled to read the greens, but Chris excelled! Wonderful course & well worth having a crack!
John 100 Chris 108

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 09/10/2023

Next up we were lucky enough to get onto the incredible Heidelberg GC. (and the hospitality provided to us by Todd in the Pro Shop was 2nd to none!! What a great asset to this amazing club he is) This course would have to be 1 of the best going around! Seriously, it has the worx, an undulating course that demands respect! It's beautiful & a delight to play!
John 91 Chris (dunno? I left her on the practice putting green) Lol! Until next time, happy golfing! 👏👍⛳️⛳️

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 09/10/2023

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 02/10/2023

G'day guys, well today was our last day of our SENSATIONAL golfing adventure! We teed up @ MacArthur GC (our 453rd)! A 9 hole sand green course that was probably the hardest of the trip! Brutal fairways with minimal run & scrapes that were like ice rinks! We both struggled to master this beautiful layout, some putting practice on the ice may help for our next trip there!!
John 98 Chris 125
Until next time, happy golfing 👍👍👏👏⛳️

01/10/2023

Another new course Coleraine GC was our 452nd to take on! An amazingly, incredibly hilly track that again, was short, but had some super, super tuff holes uphill into the wind, with super slick scrapes & lots of run that made us hit way over most scrapes! A beautiful, scenic course that was a delight to play!
John 92 Chris 103
Until tomoz, happy golfing! 👍👍⛳️⛳️

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 01/10/2023

G'day all! Today we played our 451st golf course! Woohoo! We found the aptly named Merino GC in the South West of Vic. This place was short, but the wind & the layout caused us HEAPS of issues! A super undulating course that found us dodging sheep, swooping magpies and lots of poo! Lol! A wonderful, challenging track that got the better of us! We'll b back for revenge! 🤬🤬⛳️⛳️
John 99 Chris 118

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 29/09/2023

This arvo, teed up @ the Blue Lake GC in Mt Gambier! WOW! Is the best way to describe this amazing course! An 18 hole (bloody hilly) layout that has everything. A great front 9 but the back 9 is better!! Set in bushland with some holes that are treacherous! Gulp!! It was very windy but we BOTH played above our capabilities and carded good scores on an extremely tough course with brutal greens! Luved the course, such a pleasure to play! 👍👍👏👏
John 88 Chris 105
Until tomoz, happy golfing! ⛳️⛳️⛳️

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 29/09/2023

G'day all, today we made our way to the Beachport GC, a beautiful 9 hole layout that made hitting off the carpet like fairways an absolute treat! A short, but it plays long (if that makes sense) it has 2 long Par 5's that r tuff!! Awesome course & the township is sensational!! 👏👏
John 89. Chris 107

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 28/09/2023

Hi everyone, another 54 holes done by us Tragic's today, and what beauties they were! Teed up @ Lucindale GC early, we were in disbelief how amazing this course was! It was like an oasis in the middle of nowhere! Bloody hard work on this narrow, with seriously slick greens! Some incredible holes with sensational steel sculptures throughout the course! It was a super course!
John 91 Chris 115
Next we returned to Naracoorte GC, Chris had a beef with this place, after it smoked her previously, but, it got her again! She still took 18 shots off her best, but was NOT happy!
John 97 Chris 118
After a couple of tough courses, we saddled up again @ the wonderful Penola GC! This layout got both of us last time & we struggled again on the tough (lotsa BLOODY tall pine trees) course. BUT, we both improved dramatically & took home some good scores!
John 92 Chris 106 Woohoo! Until tomoz, happy golfing! 👍⛳️⛳️

Photos from The Golf Tragics's post 27/09/2023

Hey guys, today we played 2 of the BEST golf courses u'd ever wanna play! 1st up we hit off @ Lake Albert GC! Woohoo! What an awesome experience to play this (volunteer maintained) gem! The fairways were amazing, but we struggled on the recently cored greens! Some wonderful holes that kept us on our game! John 91 Chris 106
Next we teed up @ Kingston SE, without doubt, this would have to b the 1 of the BEST courses we / "I" have ever played! Absolutely in immaculate nick! The greens were incredible & golf course that u'd rate 11 outta 10!
John 92 Chris 108 Until tomoz, happy golfing! 👍👍⛳️⛳️👏
