'S PASTORAL VISITS
We rejoice and give thanks to God for the fruitful second pastoral visit to Bethel Lutheran Church in Buhweju District, accompanied by NEB members. We celebrate the welcoming of 14 new believers into the Lutheran faith and the baptism of 2 babies. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Rev. Rev. Edson Musinguzi, Education Coordinator, conducted a successful visitation to church schools under CLCS on June 4th and 5th, 2024. The visit aimed to assess the schools' progress and offer guidance.

During the visit, Rev. Musinguzi engaged with teachers, pupils, and administrators, observing classes and inspecting facilities. He encouraged the schools to maintain their excellent work and offered valuable insights for improvement.

The visit strengthened the bond between CLCS and the church schools, demonstrating the church's commitment to supporting education and spiritual growth. Rev. Musinguzi's dedication to enhancing the quality of education was evident throughout the visit.

The schools appreciated the guidance and the visit's outcome is expected to positively impact the schools' future performances.

Special thanks to Rev. Edson Musinguzi for his tireless efforts in promoting excellence in education and upholding the values of CLCS.

Scripture meditation
Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ. - Phil 1:27
This signifies the whole course of our life and behavior in the world. What sort of life is this?
In the first place, the gospel is very simple. So Christians should be simple and plain in their habits. There should be about our manner, our speech, our dress, our whole behavior—that simplicity which is the very soul of beauty.
The gospel is pre-eminently true, it is gold without dross; and the Christian’s life will be lustreless and valueless without the jewel of truth.
The gospel is a very bold gospel, it fearlessly proclaims the truth, whether men like it or not. We must be equally faithful and unflinching.
But the gospel is also very gentle. Mark this spirit in its Founder, “a bruised reed He will not break.” Some professors are sharper than a thorn-hedge; such men are not like Jesus. Let us seek to win others by the gentleness of our words and acts.
The gospel is very loving. It is the message of the God of love to a lost and fallen race. Christ’s last command to His disciples was, “Love one another.” O for more real, hearty love to all the saints—for more tender compassion towards the souls of the worst and vilest of men!
We must not forget that the gospel of Christ is holy. It never excuses sin. It pardons sin but only through an atonement. If our life is to resemble the gospel, we must shun, not merely the grosser vices but everything that would hinder our perfect conformity to Christ.
For His sake, for our own sakes, and for the sakes of others, we must strive day by day to live our life in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ!

As Bishop Rt. Rev. Benson R. Barahuka embarked on his first pastoral visit to Zion Lutheran Church in Kamwenge District, the spirit of joy and faith filled the air. Witnessing the baptism of 04 young souls and the confirmation of 24 new members into the Lutheran faith, we were reminded of the power of God's love and grace. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Bishop's Chaplain, Rev. Earnest, Seminarian Geresom and the entire Christians of Zion Lutheran church for their warm hospitality and to the dedicated clergy and NEB members who joined us in celebrating this momentous occasion.
