Throwback to an incredible moment! ✨ Recently, I led a groundbreaking event at —the CBP Homecoming, hosted by our Connected Black Professionals network at our North Carolina Research Triangle Park campus. It was the culmination of Black History Month celebrations, focusing on Black People and the Arts.

The event was a vibrant mix of a virtual panel discussion and a lively popup festival, reminiscent of gatherings at HBCUs. We were thrilled to have students from North Carolina Central University (NCCU) and North Carolina A&T University join our Cisco family.

On top of that, we had esteemed guests—the Nigerian Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, and the Director General of the Nigerian National Information Technology Development Agency, KASHIFU INUWA ABDULLAHI CCIE—visit our campus that day. Coincidentally, a group of international students from Nigeria was there, creating a heartwarming moment of global connection.

This experience highlights the power of purpose and community. Here’s to more moments like these! 🌍✨

I didn’t really consider myself a motivational speaker. I have just always LOVED to talk and motivate people, so I guess this was my destiny and the natural progression for my future.

The Collaborative is focused on connecting the Sports and Entertainment Industry with Journalists and PR Professionals via Zoom fireside chats. Since 2020, she has had 37+ elite guests ranging from NBC’s Maria Taylor to ESPN’s Marcus Spears, Ryan Clark and Laura Rutledge to New Orleans Saints DE, Cameron Jordan and MLB HOFer, John Smoltz.

She is hosting her FIRST in person event in Atlanta on Friday, September 2, 2022. This in person event is designed to connect high school students, Journalism majors and young professionals with seasoned veterans in the sports industry. She has have already confirmed Bob Rathbun - Atlanta Hawks PxP Announcer, Lauren Walsh - EVP, Branding & Marketing, Solid Foundation Management/ Quality Control, Melissa Proctor - EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena and Christen Lockett - CEO, Lockett Up PR, Editorial Supervisor, Peacock TV; with additional guests to come.
