A lovely walk around the Knap and a sad reminder of what we once had. It was our Costa Del Sol growing up in South Wales and something we wish were still there for our children and grandchildren. It's is no wonder children now suffer with head in technology syndrome when we take away all the outdoor amenities we had growing up. What we have now is less amenities and a larger population. 😢😢😢😢😢

How fabulous!
Today a lucky few made history - the first people to swim in the pools for almost forty years! The water was a brisk 18 degrees but lots of fun was had by all. 💦
We are hoping have some dates for cold water swimming over the winter before our first heated season next year. Please keep an eye on our website for more info! 🎟

Our nearest Lido In Lovely Ponty if you fancy somewhere lovely to swim outdoors. We can also highly recommend Prince's cafe a short stroll from the pool for a spot of luncheon.

After the last couple of years we have had and the restrictions we still face, never has it been more important to put the health and well-being of the people of South Wales first.
Here at Bring Back Our Outdoor Pools South Wales we ask the local authorities to put our health and well-being first and make it a priority to replace our outdoor pools and focus your spending on better recreational facilities for all age groups.
* We do not need another arena
* We do not need a large water feature that you call a canal on Churchill way that will not have boats going anywhere on it and that we cannot swim in
* We do not want any of the other nonsense vanity projects that have been dreamed up
* We do not want to waste our time filling out your forms on your plan that you won’t take into consideration anyway
* We want you to read the comments on Facebook and take action for what the people want and make improving our physical and mental well being a priority!

Ponty Lido are closing on Sunday until god knows when. Please ask them to stay open all year. The pool is heated so why not!

This page is for the South Wales Community to come together and campaign to the councils and the Welsh Assembly to replace the outdoor pools and to create more outdoor recreational facilities for this and future generations. Now more than ever our children need outdoor recreational facilities due to Covid and having little else to do than have their noses in their devices.
