Super duper proud of the FITplan group this month! They are absolutely smashing their workouts, sweating it out on the Saturday morning live class and walking their legs off for our steps challenge this month!! Keep up the good work girls!!!

With it being international women's day this weekend, I just want to say how much I love working with this group of ladies and how proud of I am of them for absolutely smashing it every week! We workout together....we sweat together.....we talk about thinks that nobody else should ever hear about ever....they wish bad things upon me every week 😂 but the best thing of all is we support each other and we laugh together ♥️💪

Been training with Louise Morgan at Mission:You the last few weeks to get back into the swing of it after having Gryff and today session was a belter! Just a quick half hour but went through the list doing each exercise and the back to the start each time....I am hanging! Feels so good though 💪💪

Hey guys! Fancy burning the Turkey and chocolates off after Christmas?? I'm looking for 10 people to join my 9- week body blast class! The first session will be on Friday 10th January at 5:30pm at the Dai Davies Community Centre, Trebanog. This will be a measurement and movement class and an opportunity to get to know each other. The following 8 weeks will be body blasting classes suitable for all fitness levels.

Perks will also include: nutritional advice; sessions to do at home; support and advice throughout; and a private page where we can chat, support and motivate each other......fancy it?!

Absolutely loving this weather! Just taking 5 minutes while walking the dog to have a sit down and just listen to the birds and the trees and relax! It's not all about the physical stuff...taking five out for yourself is just as important! Had a great week with the Mission:You gang so far....some brilliant sessions in the garage, all clients working really hard outside sessions, looking forward to teaching spin tomorrow and seeing my lovely group of ladies Friday for our 9 week programme!!

Small steps.....if you're struggling to get back into the swing of things after Christmas start off by making small changes that are sustainable!! Go for a walk in your lunch break, up your water intake, take the dog for a longer walk or take a different route....whatever it is make sure it's a positive change to your nutrition or one that will get your heart rate up! For me...today was taking the dog for a walk up the mountain with a steep old hill climb to start!!

It's world mental health day today and a reminder to take some time out for ourselves....whether it's having 5 minutes to take yourself away from it all and breathe, putting your favourite song on and dancing like a mad man or getting a workout done....having that bit of time for yourself is so important for your mental health.

I think some people underestimate the power that exercise can have when it comes to your mind....after having my 3 year old my mental health was pretty poor - the last thing I wanted to do was go to the gym but I took the leap, and having 'me time' paired with that rush of endorphins made me feel instantly better and helped clear that fog that was in my head. I then realised that this was something that was going to improve how I was feeling in the long term and has quite literally changed my life!

Happy Monday guys!!! New month, new week and the best time to set new goals...whether they are small or big goals it doesn't matter...set them and achieve them! I got to the gym straight after the school run this morning and done my local gyms monthly challenge and I'm now cooling down with a lovely walk home...for those of you who are interested the gym challenge was:
400m row
40 press ups
20 sit ups
400m row
40 squats
20 burpees
400m row
40 lunges
20 mountain climbers
400m row
I completed it in 17 minutes which I'm not very happy about so my goal this month is to get that time down to 15 minutes!

So at the beginning of the year we started Parkrun - week by week everyone has got fitter and faster and yesterday we completed the Swansea Bay 10K!!! The weather couldn't have been much worse but we absolutely smashed it and I'm feeling so incredibly proud of these guys!! Only had around 40 minutes to get in the gym and get it done this morning so after a quick warm up I completed a 30 minute EMOM (every minute on the minute) which was:

Minute 1: 20 Squats
Minute 2: 18 Press ups
Minute 3: 12 Weighted lunges (2xKettlebells or Dumbbells)
Minute 4: 18 Deadlift to upright row (Kettlebell)
Minute 5: 12 Burpees
Minute 6: Rest
I repeated this for 5 rounds...job done!!

It's not all about how long you spend in the gym....intensity is key!!
