The professor is back!
Graebner will return to the sidelines upon graduation from her master of sport management degree from MBU. Coach G played NCAA D2 for Maryville University while obtaining her nursing degree. She then used her 5th year to play for the Spartans during the 2023 campaign and held the eventual national champs to just 3 goals while saving 5 in her second half performance.
“I am thrilled to be returning for my second year of coaching and third year with the MBU program. It is a pleasure to work with such an amazing group of young women and elite-minded program. The future is bright, and I can’t wait to continue to be a part of it!“
Graebner will continue her work with goalies and defensive schemes in the 2024 season. Under her direction last year, the Spartans produced a 2nd team all-American between the pipes.
🚨 Staff Update 🚨
We are excited to welcome our newest Graduate Assistant Coach, Lexi Helms. Originally from North Carolina, Helms played 4 years at NCAA D2 Belmont Abbey College as a defender. Following an outstanding career the Abbey, where she earned honors as 2nd and 3rd team all-conference, she took a 5th year at NCAA D2 Mckendree University as a midfielder.
“I am super excited to join the coaching staff at MBU. I knew I wasn’t ready to let go of the lacrosse world and I am thankful for the opportunity I have been given. I am hoping my knowledge of the game will be a great addition to the team while being able grow and lead as a coach!”
Helms will now begin her pursuit for a master of criminal justice degree while working with defense and midfield positions.
