Yesterday was...awful. Not necessarily for me personally but for the amazing people around me I get to call friends. One's mother was walking across the parking lot of Target and got hit by a car. Another's friend was in a car accident and would lose his life. It was my MIL's birthday and of course the world lost Kobe Bryant. While most of these things were the nightmares of others, I felt that imbalance. I felt an eeriness through the whole day--so much so that I needed to double my meditation just to resettle. My oldest talked about her own fears when she said, "I just feel like guardian angels took the day off and it's not safe out there." In between the amazing and the awful, I'm off to find today's beautiful.
