These are my favorite kind of days. We’re so lucky Florida can have summer during the winter. It was great for celebrating ‘s birthday and tacoman was able to make it out there too🥹❤️

LA will forever hold a special place in my heart. It’s not about its physical location (although it’s amazing) but the people are what really make it great. I could go on and on about the shuffle community for days but thanks for always making me feel special, safe, and full of high vibes⚡️

Titanic 2023➡️

Right when we got on the boat we got asked what our team name would be, but we did not expect us to live out the name.

Andrew and I were given this trip through our hotel, and since we were only a group of 2 we were given the smaller boat. It is sooooooo much easier to tip and fall in the smaller boat and it made us the guinea pigs of the group.

Since we were in the rainy season of Costa Rica a lot of the rain moved the rocks around and made this course more intense and unexpected. As the guinea pigs, we sank, but our guides were great at getting us back on course and we even rode the bull.

Who wants to see what riding the bull in the water looks like?

In my full-time creator era

Better yet- this is my experimental era. I talked about this for a little on my story but ever since getting laid off I’ve seen it as a sign to follow my dreams younger than expected.

Everything we see is a perspective and I’m choosing to see the opportunity in this. I’ll always be an engineer and to be honest, I’m a nerd at heart but who says you can’t be a nerd at social media? Or traveling? Or dancing?

These pictures were taken as UGC content for a free stay and I’m currently writing this caption from a resort collaboration in Costa Rica. Traveling was my first love so I’m happy I’m nerding out in the travel content space. I’ve been talking a lot more about this on my tik tok in case you want to learn💖

I’m still so far from where I want to be though. I’ve been creating content for years but I also want to become a better dancer, teach more, and feel more comfortable in the unknown. Going against the norm is scary but I’m happy you’re here to follow the journey🤗

In my farm girl era

If you fly to Medellin, Colombia and have visiting El Peñón on your bucket list (my last post), then this restaurant is on your way there!

It has llamas, alpacas, donkeys, and other friends roaming around the restaurant. You can buy a little bucket full of carrots to feed them. Be prepared to laugh! These guys will do anything for a carrot.

I’m the back there’s horses you can ride, ostriches, goats, pigs, and more! They’re in pens but you’re still welcome to interact with them and feed them a carrot🥕

I’ll be there until Saturday and then I’m off to Colombia to see the grandparents✈️ I can’t wait to be back home though🤗

FINALLY GRADUATING FROM LONG DISTANCE

Who knew that cute guy I met interning in Barcelona would follow me out here? Jk, one of the first things he told me after we met was how he had always wanted to move to Denver after grad school. I didn’t think much of it at the time because I had never been to Denver but thought it was cool. After the internship/ best summer of my life we went back to Texas and Florida, and job application season started. I applied without knowing what city I was get and of course… I got Denver. Some may call that fate but I think it was meant to be when I booked my flight to Denver for a company Christmas party (went as a future employee lol) and the return flight stopped in his city, Austin. Now that’s fate. I ended up staying in Austin with him for 5 days then he booked a flight to come to Miami with me for New Year’s. That’s when he finally made it official. 1.5 years of long distance later and today’s the last day I have to pick him up from the airport :’)

Moral of the story: If you think you met the love of your life abroad, trust the process and it will always work out for you❤️

GUYS IM IN UTAH

We stopped a plane to get here (literally though). Andrew left his suit jacket at the bar next to our gate and realized after they closed the gates of the plane. Call me professor finessor but we were able to convince them to reopen the door of the plane and attach the passenger boarding bridge back. We were told once we got off we wouldn’t be able to get back on even though it would only take a minute to grab the jacket and come back so the negotiation skills started to come out.

I noticed a guy in a neon vest heard what we were saying and ran back inside. Andrew and the Delta security man were going back and forth but in hopes neon vest guy find it I started to stall.

Negotiations were a little rocky and it was very clear we needed to get off the plane NOW because I could see a little vein popping out of the security man’s neck. While Andrew had one foot in and one foot out of the plane I asked him to give me a minute to grab my stuff. Of course I was sitting towards the back of the plane and of course I “forgot” to grab half of my stuff which required me to go back a second time.

That was just enough time for neon vest man to run back with the jacket. It really is people like him who make the world go round. I know this seems like a lot for a jacket but this suit jacket was from his sister’s wedding plus he’s wearing it at the wedding we’re going to today. Stay tuned for our wedding dance moves coming soon👀

Sunrise yoga at red rocks

A few weeks ago I think I got burnt out. My whole body ached but I didn’t have a fever or any other symptoms. I’ve never experienced stress to the point of actual pain before. I bit off more than I could chew and normally I just suffer a little bit and move on but this time it all caught up to me :/

In times like these I thought about what makes me the happiest- dancing with friends and trying new things. My last collab post really cheered me up. I’ve also really been into yoga lately. It’s a nice break from the workload.

Something else I recently started doing that helped a lot is journaling. In the mornings I’ll make a list of what I NEED to get done and then what I WANT to get done. Obviously needs prioritize the wants but I still try to do at least one thing from the want list to keep myself happy.

If you’re feeling burnt out think about what you truly love to do and then go do it. At the end of the day you could be giving all of yourself to something but if you don’t take care of yourself there won’t be anything left to give.

Mentally: still in California

Physically: Sitting in front of two monitors creating vendor payment journals, taking teams calls, and still in pajamas.

I love working from home but it has been so much lately. I also feel like I’m in a creative block :/ This is only a phase though.

On a brighter note NBA finals are today and my two cities are playing against each other👀
