🍲 Feeding Hearts, One Meal at a Time ❤️
Our beneficiaries, whom we lovingly call "Dida" (grandma in Bengali), are at the heart of our mission. They receive not just meals but an abundance of love and care, 365 days a year, no matter the weather. ☀️🌧️❄️
Our nutrition drive, our parent project, is the foundation of our work. On 7th September 2014, Knognat Foundation was formally registered as an NGO, marking the official start of our journey. 📅
From that day till today, every month, we extend our helping hand to over 1 lakh families from extremely marginalized sections. They receive essential dry groceries, ensuring their kitchens are never bare. 🍚🛒
But that's not all. We also provide freshly cooked meals to over 100 individuals who are incapacitated, ensuring no one goes to bed hungry. 🍽️
Together, we're making a real difference, one meal, one family, and one life at a time. Join us in our mission to spread love, hope, and nourishment to those who need it most. 🤝💕
🌟 Bridging the Gap: Mental Health Matters 🧠
At Knognat Foundation, we're proud to have a dedicated mental health wing for our beneficiaries hailing from marginalized communities. 🤝
For many of these incredible individuals, the concept of mental health remains distant and unfamiliar. 💭 In their world, where even two square meals a day can be a luxury, focusing on mental well-being is often overlooked.
But we're on a relentless journey to change that. 🌿
Our mission is to provide holistic living conditions, ensuring that mental health is not a privilege but a right for everyone, regardless of their circumstances. 💪
Together, we're breaking down barriers, erasing stigmas, and building a brighter, more compassionate future for all. 💙✨
🌟 As we, the Knognat Foundation, venture out into the night to provide nourishment to those living on the streets, we witness a different Kolkata, a city we call home, a city we are deeply connected to. 🏙️
In these late hours, our mission reminds us of the profound unity that thrives within this city's heart, transcending all boundaries. 🤝
Kolkata's essence lies not just in its splendid architecture but also in the resilience and compassion of its people, coming together to make a difference. ❤️
Join us on this journey of empathy and solidarity, as we collectively light the path towards a more compassionate and inclusive Kolkata. 🕊️ Let's work together to ensure that no one in our city has to go to sleep hungry. 🌍
At Knognat Foundation, we are dedicated to making a difference in rural India by focusing our efforts on aiding children and elderly individuals suffering from thalassemia and other terminal illnesses. Our approach is multifaceted, starting with ensuring that the right treatment protocols are followed and that they receive the utmost care and priority treatment at government facilities. But our support doesn't stop there. We provide essential elements for their journey to recovery – nutritional support, medicines, transportation from their villages to city hospitals, necessary pathology tests, and crucial mental health support for both patients and their families. Together, we are working towards a healthier and brighter future for these courageous individuals. 🏥💖
"Towards a Hunger-Free India by 2030"
🌍 SDG 2030: Goal #2 - Zero Hunger 🌍
In a nation of rich diversity, one common challenge unites us - the battle against hunger. As a social activist, my mission is clear: to help make India hunger-free by 2030, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals.
🤝 Confronting Poverty
Poverty and hunger are inseparable companions. For millions, it's a harsh reality. Poverty denies access to food, education, and opportunities, trapping generations in a vicious cycle.
🔥 The Call to Act
SDG #2, "Zero Hunger," isn't just a goal; it's a moral imperative. It's a reminder that we must act urgently. Hunger is not a choice; it's a circumstance, and it's within our power to change.
🌟 My Journey
My journey as a social activist began with empathy. Witnessing the pain of those hungry, I couldn't stay idle. I've worked with communities, distributed food, and educated families about nutrition.
🤲 Grassroots Impact
Together, we've sowed the seeds of change. From food drives to supporting local farmers, we've made strides towards hunger-free communities.
🌐 Join the Cause
2023 marks the road to 2030. Join this cause; your contribution matters. Together, we can break the cycle of hunger and poverty, one meal, one family, and one action at a time.

Sharing a meal with someone battling hunger poverty is a profoundly moving experience that evokes a mixture of emotions. The act of breaking bread together transcends the mere consumption of food; it becomes a gesture of compassion, solidarity, and shared humanity. As you sit down with them and witness the gratitude in their eyes, you're reminded of the stark contrast between your own privilege and their daily struggles. The exchange of stories and the warmth of companionship create a sense of unity that bridges socioeconomic gaps. In that moment, the simple act of sharing nourishment becomes a beacon of hope, reminding us of the importance of empathy and our capacity to make a positive impact in the lives of those less fortunate.
Thankyou Manisha Saraf Mam for sharing a meal and feeding our elderly grandmothers from the marginalised sections of the community ❤️🙏🏻
Celebrating the 76th Independence Day with heartfelt joy. Let's unite in shaping an ecosystem that not only holds potential, but also brings forth a brilliant future for our nation. 🇮🇳

Why should you volunteer at a charity of your choice?
Because volunteering can provide a healthy boost to your self-confidence, self-esteem, and life satisfaction. You are doing good for others and the community, which provides a natural sense of accomplishment. Your role as a volunteer can also give you a sense of pride and identity.
Our heartfelt appreciation to Ms Amrita Dutt for her selfless act of service to the needy.

Signs and symptoms of malaria are similar to flu symptoms. They include:

Diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.
Malaria symptoms usually appear 10 days to one month after the person was infected.
To prevent Malaria:
Apply mosquito repellent with DEET (diethyltoluamide) to exposed skin.
Drape mosquito netting over beds.
Put screens on windows and doors.
Treat clothing, mosquito nets, tents, sleeping bags and other fabrics with an insect repellent called permethrin.

This quote captures the essence of the impact that giving back can create. However, many of us face dilemmas that keep us from giving: does my small contribution really make a difference? How will my contribution have an impact? Which non-profit to trust? And so on.
No matter how small the contribution is, it has the power to create a ripple effect of change. Every donation can create an impact change at the micro and macro levels. For example, a donation of Rs 2,000 can contribute to nutrition suppliments for a needy terminally ill patient ; ensure an underweight child gets food and medicines, or it can contribute towards larger causes such as rural livelihoods or much-needed medical help for a poverty-stricken elderly or child .
