‘Blatant disregard for us’ – entertainment industry blasts Government over All-Ireland Croke Park crowd Music industry representatives have blasted the Government after 40,000 people watched the All-Ireland senior hurling final at Croke Park yesterday, while the live entertainment sector remains on pause.

This picture is bittersweet. We hope everyone attending Croke Park today enjoys the game. It's fantastic to see live events slowly returning. We understand the concerns around public health and we have always followed all guidlines as laid out to us and always will.
But..... Look at this picture from Dublin today, then consider the restrictions still in place for DJs, entertainers, musicians and bands. It's very hard to feel anything but unfairly treated, our sector was the first to close and will be the last to return. If this is safe, sanctioned and allowed, then how can we not have Iive entertainment and live performances.
Clarity, equality and a plan is all the live sector wants. Some DJs and musicians have not worked in over 17 months, imagine how it feels to be forcibly stopped working and then see these images today, it's painful.
Hopefully clarity and a plan is not far away. We share our colleagues frustration.
