Litter J at 13 weeks. They are super sweet & loving kittens and OMG they are growing so nicely. 😊

Jalo (Red classic tabby) is a pretty chill dude that when not playing will lay near or on you and wait patiently for loves. He even will be like oh ok snuggles now if picked up when lightly playing. If in turbo kitty mode, like any kitty he needs to play a while before cuddles.

Jasur (Red silver with white) absolutely loves to cuddle and snuggle. It’s the first thing he wants to do when I come in the room even when I have food. Loves first, then food, then more loves and back to the food until it’s play time.

Jezirae (Black silver mackerel tortie) stays with me. She is the most feisty of the litter but she’s a sweetheart and snuggles very nicely once she’s done puncing.

Some fun videos from the nursery today.😀

I brought in the wet food on the normal platter and a plate since the platter was getting crowed. One of the kittens knocked the plate got spooked and ran causing all the others to follow. About 5 minutes later they decided it was great fun. 🤣

They love the broom and think it's a great toy so I got lots of "help" . 🤣

Litter I at 13 weeks.

I know I'm biased but these are some of the sweetest, most loving kittens and they are gorgeous as well. 😊

Idina (black) is super affectionate and will want her human to be a cuddle buddy a lot. She’ll walk up your chest and burrow at your neck or armpit while being loved on.

Iggy (red) is a sweetheart and will happily park in your arms for serious loves if he’s not full of it and wanting to play. He’s a big boy too.

Inesha (black tortie) is a total doll that is usually happy to snuggle on or near you but she has a feisty side at times too.

Ishtar (black smoke tortie) is so funny, she either wants loves and is an instant purr kitty or she’s busy thank you very much. When she decides she’s ready she will talk to you tell you hey I’m ready and if your busy loving on another kitty she may paw at you in case you missed it the first time that she’s ready.

Itsumi (red smoke) is a pretty chill dude that loves to snuggle a lot unless he’s in turbo mode but he’s mostly happy and chill.

Itzel (black tortie ) is super sweet with a touch of sass. She’s also a lover but more mellow about it then some of her siblings.

My goal is to keep this page all about the kitties but sometimes some personal information is needed and this is one of those times. My posts have been sparse and inconsistent due to being diagnosed with cancer just before the Litter I was born. I was starting an insane number of appointments when Litter J was born and while a bit crazy, it was manageable. When treatment started, my energy levels dropped and I sometimes had complications and extra challenges that cut my time and energy more. The kitties are well cared for but watermarking which takes a lot of time fell to the side and I just couldn’t catch up.

The kittens will be ready to go home soon so I am shifting gears to the most current pictures so people can see how fabulous they are. I have most of the week 13 pictures for Litter I done so I will post their pictures tomorrow. Then I will start on Litter J.

Hidalgo is looking for the right home still and I’m retiring his mama Seraphina so maybe they can go to a new home together.

Note I do not plan any more litters until May or June of 2025.

This is the last of the pictures from early July when I accidentally did a bunch of in motion pictures so some are fuzzy. Hopefully I'll get caught up on the other weeks soon and have better pics.

Finally litter I at 8 weeks old! They are so much fun but getting good pictures can be a challenge as they just want to play. ❤

It's hard to tell but I've been working hard on updates. I accidentally took almost 400 in motion pictures that I had to go through and capture good images out of. I just finished getting all the pictures of Zia's kittens ready to be reviewed and watermarked. I still have to go through Sarika's kittens pictures that have the same issue. They will be about two weeks late but I hope to post them in the next day or two.

In the meantime here's a little more AI editing fun. I liked a picture that had swooshes of color above the kitten's head from the toy and I decided to see how the AI editing tool would handle it. Again not what I expected; it's like it tried to make a moon with solar flares but failed. 🤣

One week my best picture of Jasur was with his siblings right by him looking to the side. It wasn't possible to crop them out and it made for an awkward picture.

Friday my phone died and I had to upgrade. Turns out the Samsung 24 Ultra has some cool photo editing toys and AI cleaned up the photo.

Litter J at 6 weeks old - Sarika & Tayte’s kittens are developing nicely and they have the sweetest personalities. I know I'm biased but they are so adorable.

For a few days Jezirae was the biggest of the litter but Jalo reclaimed that spot when he decided wet food was a good thing after all. Jasur is growing well too.

Jasur was on the move so much the only pictures that weren't blurry were the group pictures. The others weren't far behind with Jezirae having only one good individual picture and Jalo had two. They were busy exploring and pouncing the toy. 😀

A lot of pictures came out blurry this week between active kitties and I wasn't feeling well and didn't realize it until it was too late to try for more pictures. Some like Iggy don't have an individual picture this week.

This is the week they all started eating wet food. Itzel started a week or two before the rest and the boys finally got on board this week. :-)

Sarika & Tayte’s kittens – Litter J at 3 weeks old. Growing fast and getting mobile but a bit wobbily when playing.

Jasur runs right at me which makes getting pictures hard; he just wants to snuggle. I snuck a few pictures from the top so you can see his coloring and how much he's grown.

Jalo tends to eat and sleep a lot so no individual pics this week but he makes up for it in later weeks. He's sweet and mellow.

Jezirae is very mellow and yet feisty. She's mostly chill and sweet unless someone wants to wrestle.

At last updates on the kitties!

Zia & Tayte's kittens - Litter I at three weeks old and already little loves.

Most pictures are in the nursery as they still are getting used to the photo area. Some are a bit blurry and were the best I could get; kittens are not good at being still unless sleeping or eating.

I also selected their names which fit them quite well. 😀

Update on Sarika & Tayte's kittens known as litter J, they are approaching 3 weeks and growing quickly.

Jalo the red boy is the first male Sarika has produced without white and he is the biggest of the litter. His name is Finnish and means noble & gracious; he's a pretty chill dude as long as he has a full tummy. 😀

Jasur the red silver with white that I nicknamed Peanut has been doing great and he's catching up with his siblings.😀 His name is Arabic and means bold, brave & fearless which totally fits him.

The kitten that was black and white with a mackerel pattern at birth is actually a black silver with white and has been steadily lightening. I'm loving the color change. Funny thing is I referred to the kitten as she as I connected with other breeders and my vet in it's first day of life as I sought to help it since it had aspirated some fluid at birth. I hadn't looked yet, I was focusing on doing everything I could to give it a chance to live. The kitten did have the white markings Sarika has given to every boy so far (I thought it was going to come in on the red boy too at that point) so I switched to thinking of it as a boy. It's been busy here and the other day I picked up the kitten and said if only you were a girl as I have been trying to get Sarika's replacement and the kitten is striking. That's when I realized I still hadn't looked and I had a pleasant surprise. 😀 Sarika had one girl that is growing wonderfully; her name is Jezirae. It's a name that I made up years ago after misreading a character's name in a book and when I realized it I liked my version better. I would have given the name to my next daughter if I'd had another, now it will go my fur baby.

Their personalities are starting to show more and more and all are lovers. It's so much fun to be with them. They are dwarfed by their half siblings that are 9-10 days older (Jezirae was born a day later then her brothers) but the size difference will lessen as the kittens get bigger.

Some pictures have aunt Zia or one of her kittens in them; it's hard to get completely separate pictures when they are all in the same space. Update on Zia's kittens tomorrow; well later today.

Here's an update on Hidalgo, he's sweet and spicy and still looking for the perfect family. He can be quirky due to being an only child but he's a love too and he LOVES play time.

He was in motion when I took the pictures so only a few turned out.

Introducing Sarika & Tayte's kittens which will be Litter J. I got a few really lucky pictures of them snuggling and not in a heap.😀

They are doing great and while Peanut is still smallest, he's gaining weight rapidly and trying to catch up with his brothers. He has a full tummy in the pics but it sure doesn't last long.

Hidalgo is a sweet & sassy boy that loves to play and my has he grown. 😀

He's waiting for his purrfect family to find him.

My heart broke last night when my seemingly healthy kitten took a sudden turn for the worse. I did everything I could to help him but Sarika’s boy that was born when she went back in labor when I was at the doctor passed late at night on the 16th. 💔😭

He was having a hard time so I cuddled up with him and calmed him. He went with loves and snuggles. By the way he declined and acted, it appears that something inside wasn’t quite right. Poor baby, it was only a short time but he was loved.

It’s been a while since I lost a kitten; they are most vulnerable the first week as that’s when issues will present themselves if there’s something wrong inside. They are more susceptible to illness as well but if mom is healthy and good husbandry is being done, they are unlikely to get sick unless they aspirate some fluid or milk.

People tend to think being a breeder is all fun and kitten snuggles but it’s a lot of work, lack of sleep and constant learning trying to be better. Kitten snuggles are fabulous and my cats enrich my life very much but sometimes it is heartbreaking. I’m still grieving Rami and I miss Zakai a lot even though I know he’s in a home he’ll be spoiled a lot. I nearly burst in tears when cleaning the boys litter boxes a few days ago and I recovered the springs they always get pinned behind one and tossed them out for them to play with it. Nobody pounced; Rami and Zakai were the most excited when I’d do that and it hit hard that they weren’t there. Now I have a little one to grieve.

Very thankful Peanut is holding steady and the black and white is doing well so far; their other brother a very good eater and he's quite round. Zia's babies are thriving.

I will mostly focus on the blessings I still have in my care but I carry those I've lost with me too. So grateful for the amazing families that have my babies as that makes it less hard to let them go.

Sarika & Tayte's litter update - There ended up being two bonus kittens for a total of four kittens. The tiny one, I'm calling Peanut for now is needing support feeding and the last one born is the only non red kitty and is black and white. That baby was breach and inhaled some fluid at birth so it's going on a tiny dose of antibiotics in an effort to keep it from getting pneumonia.

Please keep little Peanut and the black and white kitty in your hearts.

I'll try to post a picture soon.

Sarika had two kittens today. One is a tiny red silver currently nicknamed peanut. He's a little older then his little big red brother.

Update - Bonus kitty! I came back from an appointment that took most of the morning to find she'd had another kitten who is the biggest at birth of the litter so far. He's another red silver. Sarika has always had her kittens quickly in the past, this is the first time she or any of my girls have paused labor and restarted later.
