Today we hit a milestone. Today at 11:02 PM has been 5 years since mom gained her Angel wings. I did what I always do on this day and that was to stay busy. If I slow down I remember what day it is and I can’t help but get heartbroken. I miss her so damn much but I’m at peace knowing she’s Healed and living it up in heaven with so many loved ones. So much has changed since she’s been gone and I wish I could pick up the phone and call her and tell her all about it! Usually we celebrate her by all of us going out to eat but life happens and we weren’t able to tonight. One night next week we’ll all be together and celebrate her. This week is rodeo week and I’m glad bc I’ll be super busy and it will definitely take my mind off of all the things I wish she was here for. She would have loved the fact that lan is showing animals now. Humble Rodeo was her favorite time of the year besides Christmas. Lan and I was talking to a good friend of mine that I grew up with tonight and we were talking about mom. She said that she could still hear her voice all these years later. That was mom, she always treated all of our friends like they were her own kids. I hope and pray that one day Lans friends can say the same about me and that I was a hip hip lady like she was, wind pants and all 😂. We all miss her like crazy!!

They say it takes a village and that’s true but it also takes an amazing community. What some I think thought was impossible proved to be possible. I had about 3 days to raise money for the Humble progress show belt buckles. It was a lot of work but I pulled it off…. On this day my forever best friend was born! Happy birthday to my best friend, my hubs. If anyone should be celebrated it should be you. Who would have thought many moons ago that this would be the 22nd bday I’ve celebrated with you. You’re my rock, my voice of reason. You’re the person I want to call when I have something exciting to share and your a shoulder to lean on when I need you the most. I love you beyond words!!
