All things “Fletcher’s thread Works” will be on hold for the next 30 days minimum. An unfortunate circumstance has put me out of commission for the short foreseeable future.

Back in the shop working away...wondering what I can make for you today?? I focus on small Business, one off needs, quick time turns, and exceptional quality. Refer a friend so I can continue to make really cool things for people.

I have some time on my hands to make YOU, super cool things. Got an idea you want played out in embroidery and fabric?? Need a couple jackets done up for the job site? How about a hat or two or ten for business promotion?? Whatever the need I am ready to tackle the deed.

It’s been quiet on the social media front and I have most things caught up on the embroidery fronts. I have several friends that use these grub/dry bags for disc golf and I always hate how long others take to break in and start giving up their drying chalk. These bags are all hand cut and filled with a variety of items to dry the hands. If you want/ need one let me know. Ten bucks for just a bag(lots of prints available) or 11 with a clip to attach it to something like a disc golf bag.

I just handed off the hardest project I have ever done for the embroidery stuff. Hold your children a closer tonight for me please.

Things that get the nerves way up?? Custom one off pieces and the farmer is supplied by the customer. I never want to disappoint anyone. Slowing down and really thinking out the process might look like I am doing nothing, but the wheels are moving. Christmas requests can be a challenge.

Hand built Christmas stockings?? Yeah I do that too now!! If you have projects you want to have for the holidays, now is the time to get ahold of me. The window is closing and I’ll only have so many availible projects slots. Happy holidays everyone!

Back at it after a couple of weeks of disc golf stuff and getting the house straight. Getting caught up slowly!! Always taking orders for the custom stuff because that challenges me and motivates me. Bring on the challenges!!

Have you been wondering what I have been up to?? Well, we have been trying to get as much stuff in this summer as possible and we took in an exchange student this year too. We have been busy showing her MICHIGAN and our community most of our free time. The house was dealing with some kind of cold/flu thing but work is still being done. This is what custome seats can look like and I learned a whole lot working with these materials. It was a slow process because it needed to be perfect.

So I’ve been doing little projects here and there for the last couple weeks and finally got hammered with a project that tested new skills and forced me to learn along the way. I’ve never really embroidered on vinyl before but I’m finding experience rather interesting. I’ve never been approached to do car upholstery before and these items will go inside of a custom vehicle for a very well-known shop out of Tennessee. Hoping this test stitch will come out clean so I can move on to completing the project.

What cool things are you looking for@?? Winter is coming, so don't forget that I can modify Jackets and coats as well as create super nice Beanies!!! If you have an idea, lets make it happen!

Sorry for being so quiet but the summer is pretty busy for me with things other than creating cool stuff. That’s not to say it doesn’t happen…So I am trying to get caught up with a few things and I have been struggling with the digitizing for this but I am finally happy with it. Had to figure out a better way for the black center and I think this works well. Now to make like 50 of these things!! Th

Sometimes I could ask just to do one or two items which is completely within my realm of jobs to do. This one was different for me as I don’t typically work on infant clothing, but I feel like this one came out pretty well. The lettering on the back of the shirt is completely filled with embroidery whereas the number is a appliqué. The basketball on the front is completely embroidery, filled and placed to blend in with the factory logo that was already applied. You’ll see through part of my process as I always do a practice stitch on this type of stuff with two different sizes of the halved basketball.

These are always the toughest things to make. People bring memories and feelings to me to place on fabric to preserve a loved one. It isn’t the face that I have to make sure it’s spelled correctly or that the font fits the theme. I CAN’T REPLACE THESE ITEMS. They have to be done right the first time with respect and carefully thought and planning. Thank you for trusting me to serve you and the memories.

When you take your wife to work but have things that need to be done, you bring the laptop and find a quiet yet public parking lot to get it done. I have been busy this week with things other than the usual and it’s good to maybe get caught back up

Not a Facebook filter. When you can’t get the color you want in the material you want it in…you figure out how to dye it to make the color you need.

BACK FROM VACATION!! Let’s get the week started with some new ideas and things you need or want to happen!! Things have been productive but I always stop taking orders three weeks before a longer vacation. That ensures I don’t have due dates while I am gone. I am always up for challenge, I can help you design a logo or use a pre-existing one; I have quick turn around times and quality work is my top priority!! Let’s make so stichery!!

Trying to button up a few items for the Christmas season with plenty left to be done. Several items are one or two item orders so don’t be afraid to reach out for even small orders. Staying busy has been great and Christmas will be here soon. LETS MAKE A SNOWMAN…or something else!!

My wife and biggest supported asked me to make stockings for us about a month ago. I got the dogs done but never got to ours. We are going with some gnomes to celebrate our stockings this year. I haven’t bought designs from before but I have to say over all I am happy with the way they stitched out. These are far more complex than what I have done but just watching these run I learned some things and feel a little more confident in digitizing items in this complexity. Surprisingly, there are even more complex things than this. Now on to the other items on the work board.

This venture was all started just about a year ago and it has been frustrating, exciting, eye-opening, and revitalizing. I started all this because I wanted to do a few custom hats and was off put by the amount of money it cost just to make personalized things. I participated in a disc golf event this weekend being put on by Robert Duff. He asked me to do a design to be used for the disc you received for signing up and we started to brain storm. Needless to say, the stamp was a lot of fun to do and it sounded like it was well received. I also made four baseball hats and 6 winter hats and Robert said, “Bring them over and you can try to sell them before the event!” I had intentions of having at least a couple left to use as giveaways. THEY WERE GONE IN LESS THAN A HALF HOUR. These small victories are what we as people need to focus on. Let it pull you forward into the next accomplishment. Co-running a tournament to raise money for our local disc golf course. will have beanies, hats, and some shirts to sell as well to raise additional funds to support the advancement of the course. The people that are apart of this course and club are wonderful individual that accomplish a lot with very little. They are always looking for sponsors and donations.

It’s that time of year for us in the custom business to start thinking about things like stockings and hats and shirts and candy canes….WAIT!! Sorry about that, but we all know they are the best this time of year. We are hand making stockings for the house this year. Like from scratch…like we know what we are doing or something!! A few things I have been working on the last couple weeks or so. I am going to be working on some fall and Christmas hand towels for the house here shortly. I have beanies to make for one of my returning customers as well. I am always accepting orders and pride myself on quick turn around times and high quality products. What can I do for you?? Rush orders?? Yeah we do that!! Sweatshirts, hoodies,polos, hats…whatever you might want to customize, we can probably do that too. These were about a five day turn for a great cause. Back at it trying to catch up on some things I have not gotten done in the last couple weeks.
