This is fascinating (to me anyway!) isolated piano of the legend that is Glen D. Hardin on See See Rider. What an amazing musician and such a lovely person.
I was blessed to tour with Glen and all of the TCB band (Glen D Hardin, Ronnie Tutt(also Paul Leim), James Burton, Jerry Scheff (also Nathan East & Norbert Putnam) on Elvis the Concert for all their UK and European tours between 2000 and 2012 (which was the last tour). All under the baton of Joe Guercio.
Not forgetting The Sweet Inspirations (Portia Griffin, Estelle Brown), the stamps and the Imperials (Terry Blackwood).
Walt Johnson was on lead trumpet & Ron Fuer on Hammond organ.
UK musicians included Andy Crompton, Paul Newton, Mark White, Pat White, Dave Land, Steven Vintner, Mark Frost, Mike Innes, Ralph Broadbent, Giles Broadbent, Sarah Westley and many many more!
It was an amazing gig surrounded by amazing musicians & I have so many wonderful memories.

In 2008 my Mum, Catherine Rosemary “Rosie” Linsley lost her battle with breast cancer. I will never forget when Mum started loosing her hair because of her Chemo treatment. She shaved her head and the first time she left the house got laughed at by some children on the street. She was really upset and embarrassed although she totally understood that the teasing was because of the children not understanding. Mum thought she’d be fine with it, but actually wasn’t and it was a struggle for her. We sorted a wig and Mum did wear that or a head scarf most of the time. At the time I shaved my head in solidarity. I’m going to do this again, this time to raise some money for MacMillan. I’ve not been able to run since having covid so my marathons are on hold.. this seems a poignant and fitting way to try and raise some money for a charity I value and support. Please donate or consider joining me in support of someone you know that is going through cancer or someone you love that you have lost. Thank you x

Today marks my big brother, Derek’s 53 birthday.
Derek died in a motorbike accident in 1996 at the age of just 25. My world has never been the same since. He is loved and missed every single day by me & his many loyal friends.
His name lives on in my son, Matthew Derek Linsley ❤️
How I wish he could have been around to be Uncle to Mattie and Emma - he would have been the best uncle!
He would also have shown me the right direction on so many occasions through life, as he used to do.
Always in my thoughts. RIP Derek ‘Des’ Peter Linsley X

Thinking of my dear friend Simon Goulding on his birthday. I miss his presence so much. I miss the music we used to make together and the projects we used to think up! He was so passionate about music and his effervescent joy of music radiated in everything he did. It was a long standing joke that when coming off a stage after a gig I’d always crown him man of the match.. he always was.
Here is a track of mine that Si was heavily featured on playing fretless bass. I love that he and I play a duet together on the head before Si launches into a lush fretless solo.
This man was and is a legend. There are few people I know that have had such open joy and been able to share it so freely, impacting on the people around him.
Rest in peace dear Si, you are in my thoughts most days x

RIP Bernie Marsden, a true legend. I was lucky enough to work with Bernie on several occasions and he was always a pleasure to work with. This photo is from the Jack Bruce Memorial concert at the roundhouse in London a few years back. Quite a few names on the stage including Ian Anderson, Clem Clempson, Mark King, Nitan Sawnhey and Liam Bailey!

I always enjoy doing recording sessions from my home studio, you never know what is going to come up.
I’m blessed to have many regular clients that have built up over the years that I’ve been recording from home and it is hugely varied.. singers, jingles, adverts, albums, demos.. you name it.
Sometimes it’s a solo, other times it’s from charts (written music).. if there’s just an idea then I’m happy to do the arrangements.
The above was a fairly challenging section from a medley.. the other nice thing about recording at home is there is time and space to get it right lol - this took me a few runs!!
You can find more about my services at www.linsley.co.uk
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all my clients near and far.. it’s alwasy fun and a pleasure to record for you.

This was such a fun musical to be involved in. Movin’ Out, 2006 Victoria Apollo. It featured the music of Billy Joel and choreography by Twyla Tharp.
The band was on a platform above the stage which was pretty terrifying, especially when it failed one night resulting in us being stuck at an angle.
Fun times, such a shame it didn’t last too long and made way for Wicked which has been there ever since!
Horn section was:
Trumpet - Adam Linsley
Trombone - Andy Crompton
Sax - Richard Pardy
Sax - Ian Richards
We did get a note from Twyla Tharp asking the horns to tone down our dancing as the audience were watching us more than the dancers on the stage.. some of the best dancers in the world 😂😂
