Simple Sausage Casserole!
Typically pork sausages are used in this dish, but you can also use beef or chicken. It’s worth buying good quality sausages that are grass-fed and gluten-free.
If you don’t have an oven proof pot, you can make this in a big pot on the stove. If you don’t have a leek you can just add an extra onion!
What’s in it?
1 onion finely sliced
1 leek finely sliced (white part)
1 clove garlic crushed
1 carrot diced
2-3 white potatoes diced
1 small purple sweet potato diced
2 stalks celery sliced
1 cup stock of choice
1 can crushed tomatoes
6-8 gluten-free sausages sliced
1-2 tablespoons olive oil
Steps
1) Pre heat oven to 160-170 degrees
2) In a stove friendly casserole dish Sauté vegetables in olive oil
3) Add sausages, tin of tomatoes and stock
4) Stir and place in oven for 45 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. (Check and stir a few times while cooking)
5) Serve with brown rice, quinoa or mashed potato

🍫Chocolate Protein Balls 🙌🏽
What you need..
2 x sachets Complete Choc Protein
1-cup almonds soaked overnight (or almond meal)
1/2-cup organic raisons
1-tablespoon raw cacao
1-tablespoon natural nut butter
1/4-cup coconut oil melted
Place the nuts into food processor and blitz until they become fine. Add the rest of the ingredients and blitz until they clump together. Add a little more oil or water if they are too dry.
Roll into small balls and store in the fridge or freezer.
TIP: We like to freeze these little gems as you take longer to chew them!

The anatomy of the ideal snack...
The most ideal snack contains three key components... fiber, protein and healthy fat. This snacking trifecta keeps you full for longer and stabilizes your blood sugar, helping to keep your cravings at bay and a sustained energy release.
Ideally, you want to choose a combination of whole foods to check off each nutrient. Prepackaged snacks often contain added sugars, sodium and saturated or trans fats (not essential healthy fats).

ACNE, SCARRING, BLEMISHES!
I have struggled with my skin since stopping any form of “pill” during my pregnancies I found my skin reacted differently each time although after I had my kids I really wanted to clear up my breakouts and start to look after my skin.
I spoke with my beautician who put me onto a great skin product which included a cleanser, moisturiser, spf and also a spot treatment.
I also started on Omega and Berry blend whole food powders around the same time.
I have been combining these two products for the last 12 months and I can honestly say my face has never felt cleaner, smoother, less blemished and also very rarely do I get a breakout or even that 1 pesky pimple.

Journey of Mum of 3
I started on this journey as I wanted to improve my own health, my lifestyle, my skin and hair, motivation and be an example to my 3 girls.
I followed Stay Strong Mummy for many years and loved the wholesome meals she created and the added value of ensuring her kids got their fruit and veg intake. Her skin changed, her energy grew and her personality inspired me to get out of my comfort zone and give it a go, whats the harm in trying.
