Feeling nostalgic on this cold Monday, reading a journal entry from a few years ago:

‘Lost in the awe of everything, I remembered that this was the reason I decided to move to Costa Rica.

To dance harmoniously with the elements and forces of the ocean, to embody the rythms of nature….to lose myself in silent beauty.

To live any other way would be completely insane…

…and it’s closest to heaven that I’ll ever be in this human existence…

Home.’

I can get really hard on myself wishing I was way further ahead at this stage of my life.

But then I read my travel blogs and yes, the years of wandering and seeking was a very necessary step in my evolution. Memories and experiences that are tattooed on my soul for eternity, I wouldn’t trade for anything…

It will all make sense one day… we just temporarily forget ✨❤️

‘Underwater Love’

The winter plague is upon us. Dark and rainy days and been home all week with a sick kiddo.
It sometimes feels he falls prey to
to never ending rounds of sniffles, infections and coughs…

We’ve been trying to stay creative and sneaking in some studio time here and there.

By molecular count we are 99% water🧜🏻‍♀️, and our intelligent bio water is shaped by our environment, thoughts, and emotions.

Experiments have shown that when water is exposed to loving, benevolent, and compassionate human intentions resulted in aesthetically pleasing and physical molecular formations💙

With this in mind I created these seaweed paintings in collaboration with the intelligence of the Pacific Ocean water. Truly Mer-made✨🧜🏻‍♀️

My creative practice truly Ebbs and Flows like the tides.
There was a time where I tried to swim against this current, and beat myself up when I couldn’t ‘force’ inspiration to happen.

Lately I’m appreciating the complete surrender to these natural rhythms.

Todays affirmation is: ‘start before you’re ready’
