Congratulations to Raquel Viegas, Domestic Assistant, on receiving a NHSG STAR Award! Due to urgent renovations, the Pathology Lab moved to the BTU in the Pink Zone. Raquel volunteered to move with them despite the extra work this created. Lab staff call her "a diamond" and "incredibly hardworking." Raquel's dedication has made a huge impact on the team. You may recall Chloe Jackson, Staff Nurse, recently won the Royal College of Nursing Scotland nursing Student of the Year Award? We're thrilled to share that Chloe has now received an NHS Grampian STAR Award! Chloe truly embodies the spirit of Nurse's Day, going above and beyond by organising a gathering for all Theatres teams. She baked cakes, arranged quizzes, and secured prizes from external companies through her proactive outreach. Chloe's immense team spirit and pride in her nursing profession shines through in all she does, Well done Chloe! ⭐⭐ NHS Grampian

Congratulations to Mo Allan on receiving a STAR Award! Mo, a Radiographer at Fraserburgh Hospital, treats everyone with dignity and respect. She collaborates closely with MIU staff and explains unusual fractures clearly. An inspiration to students, she always helps them enthusiastically! Mo's hobbies include crochet and knitting. She leaves keepsakes around the hospital and Fraserburgh Beach to brighten people's days and creates items for young patients, making their x-ray experiences special. Thank you to Elinor for sending in a photo of her presenting Aroma Cairngorm Team with their Team STAR Award! Not only do they serve delicious food, they frequently look after people whose visit to the hospital, as a patient or visitor, can be upsetting . One such person has written in to say how she was met with such kindness from the Aroma staff, they helped her to a table, calmed her and saw she was well looked after during her visit. They ensured she left considerably calmer than she entered. Well done Team! NHS Grampian 👏⭐

Here we have Jamie Guner, Trainee Biomedical Scientist, who was nominated for a STAR Award as she has worked hard to get the Harvey's Gang programme running in the Haematology Laboratory. This programme lets children and young people with haematologic disorders visit the laboratory and become more involved in their care. Jamie is so enthusiastic about her profession and the role we provide to these patients. Well done Jamie! ⭐⭐👏 NHS Grampian
