It's summer in Rodiland, not so much in real life...brrr. How's June treating you so far? My back pain is all better, but now my right arm hurts 🙃...not good!

I was hoping to finish several more houses before the end of the month, but I was struck down with back pain and this was the best I could do. It will probably take me longer than usual to mail them to you and I apologize for that.🥹 I will do my best to make it as speedy as my defective lower back will let me 🙂

I'm once again late with posting this, it was supposed to be up at the beginning of March. I hope I'm making up for it with this special little shop. The May one will be postponed to next month, so keep some colouring cards for that too :)

Hello my fellow little houses aficionados, I thought I'd have a little check-in with you.
1. There will be some new houses in the shop tonight, Easter themed and very late... 😊
2. I still have to make the colouring cards house that was supposed to be ready at the beginning of the month, but I'm not sure what to make. If you're planning on colouring a card or two, what would you like? Please let me know if you have any ideas, I'd be very grateful! 🩷
3. The flower shops I made last week for the flower challenge will be available soon. I wanted to make a reel with them first and I procrastinated because I don't like making reels yet. But I promise they'll be on ebay next week, if you want one of them. 🏠

I've been catching up with making spring houses since last week the flower shops took almost all my time. I love these colours and I hope you will too :)

Day 5 of challenge - Forsythia. Painted with acrylic gouache on green Daler-Rowney Canford paper, while the flower shop is made from air-drying clay and painted with acrylics.

Day 4 of challenge - Tulip. Very quick and loose watercolour tulips because I was very behind with working on my regular houses. :) The shop is made from air-drying clay and painted with acrylics.

Day 3 of challenge - Daffodil. Not very happy with my overworked daffodils, but the flower shop turned out as I wanted :). I used watercolour, gouache, Neocolor II wax pastels, Caran D'Ache Luminance pencils on Fabriano and Canson watercolour paper and the shop is made from air-drying clay and painted with acrylics.

Day 2 of challenge - Hyacinth. I finished late last night and had to take more decent photos this morning. The sketch is watercolour and coloured pencils on Canson watercolour paper and the little flower shop is the usual - air drying clay and acrylic paints.

I'm trying an art challenge and I hope to finish it since it's only 5 days - It's 's 5 Days of Spring Florals. To make it a bit more difficult on myself, I'll also be making 5 flowers shops, alongside my daily flower sketch :) The first one is "Blossom".

I've made a few more forsythia houses and they will be available tonight at 8 pm UK time, together with all the other spring flower houses. I was hoping to finish 5 more today (Easter themed ones), but I got sidetracked by the nice weather and house chores :)

Still working on the next group of houses and they will be all full of spring flowers and blossoms :) I hope to finish them all by this weekend. I'm trying to share a few more work in progress posts, but I keep forgetting to take pictures 🙃

It's cold again, hence the urge to make a couple more hat houses, but it looks like spring outside, so I'm continuing with the spring theme :)
