Is the business-end of your store bought leader legal, or tied with conservation in mind? Many commercially produced leaders are tied with offset hooks, which are unlawful to use when fishing with live bait in the northeast.
In-line circle hooks have been proven to substantially reduce of mortality rate when compared to other hooks.
