Good morning, we would like to update you on the electric bills for 2024.

Our fixed term rate will expire sue I got the closed season and we have just agreed a new one year contract at a lower rate of 29.39p reduced from 35.76. Your new tariff will be in place and reflected in your 1st April meter reading.

Hello everyone, we have the fishery company visiting today and tomorrow to remove some of the fish. You will be free to fish the lake Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Hope you enjoy the weekend 😊

Hello Everyone, I’ve had a message this evening around 8.20PM saying a dog was running around on the cycle path outside of Cherry Lea. I’ve searched for this dog but no luck. Please can keep your eye out and let us know whether it’s your dog 💙- Paris

Good morning everyone we hope you are looking forward to the weekend.

As many of you are aware we have a need for works to be carried out on the west end part of the lake to prevent further decay of the banks. The work is very involved and we will need at least 3-4 weeks to complete.

To carry out the works we need the water levels to be low as we will be adding more clay to the base of the lake with 2 rows of stone gabions being installed to prevent further issues and to make the lake more aesthetically pleasing.

The regrettable action that’s required… we will be closing the lake from all fishing activities from Monday 4th September until further notice. We are hoping it will be open again from late September early October.

There are a few owners we will be contacting to have additional discussions with as they may be more affected by the works than others.

We are just information you we have had a pump go down that’s effecting certain area of the park, you may experience slow drain away when using WC or sinks. We are on with sorting the problem already and hope to have it fixed soon.

Good morning, We are just letting the residents know that we’ve been experiencing issues with the treatment plant meaning there’s been an unpleasant smell in the air.

We have identified the issue and a new part has been fitted although we’ve have been advised it may take a few days for it to re-balance and settle down.

Nose 👃 pegs are available at the office for rent or purchase. 🤓

Well todays the the day on the Kings Coronation and the Cherry Lea Party.

Here’s the run down:
Guests can start to gather from 2pm at the recreational area (please bring your own seating and table if possible)

3-3:30pm: afternoon tea box will be served and

4pm: entertainment will start

7pm: will bring an end to the evenings entertainment but everyone is welcome to enjoy the rest od the evening.

Let’s hope the weather plays it’s part 😬

Good afternoon everyone hope your all keeping well and looking forward toward to a new season.

As we are only 4 week away from opening and the fact we have had a few owners wanting to visit and check their caravan i wanted to take the time and give you all an update now we have all the information.

1) CHECK ON CARAVAN. The major works are now drawing to a close and the heaven plant and machinery will be soon leaving the park you will be able to visit and check your caravan from Friday 10th of February onwards.

2) ELECTRIC & GAS. What a challenge this has been. 😅 At last can announce we have agreed a deal with the previous energy company to take the contract back and we will be handling your gas electric and water bill for the time the park opens.

The collapse of blue castle / Sums created a lot of uncertainty for the owners and our business, Whilst we know some of you had credit with Sums we are unable to know exactly what this was and the only advice we can give is to contact the administrators (Jenny Parker) westgates restructuring 01482 427175 for advice and how to out a claim in.

We will be taking meter reading tomorrow (1st February) with photographic evidence if needed. Any gas or electric used since you last paid your bill to sums we have decided to absorb this cost. Your meter reading from tomorrow will be the new start point of a the new billing system for both gas and electric. You will soon receive all the information relating to the new supply set up, how you will pay and our terms and conditions as your provider. You should receive this in the next week along with your meter readings as of 1st February.

3) Fishing Lake: We have taken delivery of the metal cages for the west end lake repair. Work has been hampered by the extremely cold weather and frozen lake. Work is set to start in February however for health and safety reasons this area of the lake be fenced off and will remain closed until all works are completed.

4) 2023 FISHING FEE: for this season is £30 however any one that paid the fee for last year will be given a 50% discount In account of the period the lake was unable to be fished.

5) Kings Coronation: We are looking forward to this brilliant event on Saturday 6th of May. We will be holding a party to celebrate this together. Further details to be announced in march.

Just a quick post to inform you that the 2023 park site licences are ready for collection. We will keep them here until 10th October before we send them by post.

Good morning to all, we will be paying our respects for The Queens funeral today and the site office will remain closed for the day.

We will be open again 10am Tuesday 20th.

Good afternoon. As we have had next to no rain over the last 3 months and the lakes water levels are at all time low we have called in a professional in this field today just to understand where we are in terms of the levels of the water quality and potential danger to the fish.

Good news is the fish are well and the water quality is holding up.

Although the water levels are low, he recommend using the pump in the evening into the night to keep the oxygen levels as high as possible. I will be changing the timer this evening as advised and do apologies for any inconvenience from the noise.

He did recommend not fishing the lake whilst at this level but also said it wouldn’t take too much water in before it would be ok to resume casual fishing at the minimum. So regrettably for the time being we would kindly ask that all fishing is paused until we give the go ahead to resume after we get some much needed rain☔️💧🌧.

Happy Saturday to all, As the main holiday season is in full swing and the parks busy with everyone enjoying a break we would for the benefit of safety like to remind you that any one riding bikes around the park still need to follow the one way system for their own safety and that of other owners and visitors and that the 5mph speed limit is observed at all times. 👮🏾‍♂️

Good morning, we are experiencing problems with the drains on certain areas of the park. we are arranging an engineer to visit and solve the problem as soon as possible. We apologise for the inconvenience and will update you in good time.

A Good sunny morning, we have had a few situations recently the we need to highlight with all the owners.

A letter will be available in the office for you to collect or we will pop round the camp a few times over the next few days with any not hand delivered or collected being in the post by Monday 20th.

PS for owners on meadow view there’s some remedial work required on the electric and it is expect that we will need to shut off the electric for a few hours whilst this is undertaken.

Carla will notify all caravans this concerns and give you an update when we know more.
