I am a Lexington, KY based photographer. My primary focuses are artistic portraiture and landscapes.
I think the autumn colors hit their peak this week in Central Kentucky. My favorite time of the year makes for some beautiful photo backgrounds!
It’s hot on top of the press box but my is cool

Took my family and camera for a walk around this weekend. Had to stop in one of the best pizza places I know. Summer slipping away way too quickly!
I'm not a huge fan of AI, but I am a huge fan of doing things better and more efficiently. This is from a shoot with the amazing Jade Lyon Fashion Model I did a couple years ago. There were some distractions out the window that bothered me. Thanks to the AI remove tool I was able to take a beautiful image out of the reject pile and share it. AI will be able to do a lot of things in the future, but it will never be able to replace some things. This shoot was so much fun. Jade was genuine, professional and quick to share her extensive knowledge. Honestly, we could have just talked the whole time, and I would have been thrilled with the experience, but I have awesome images, too. And thanks to AI I have at least one more!
A violinist played for 45 minutes in the New York subway. A handful of people stopped, a couple clapped, and the violinist raised about $30 in tips.
No one knew this, but the violinist was Joshua Bell, one of the best musicians in the world. In that subway, Joshua played one of the most intricate pieces ever written with a violin worth 3.5 million dollars.
Two days before he played in the subway, Joshua Bell sold out a Boston theatre, and the seats averaged about $100.
The experiment proved that the extraordinary in an ordinary environment does not shine and is so often overlooked and undervalued.
There are brilliantly talented people everywhere who aren’t receiving the recognition and reward they deserve. But once they arm themselves with value and confidence and remove themselves from an environment that isn’t serving them, they thrive and grow.
Your gut is telling you something. Listen to it if it’s telling you where you are isn’t enough!
Go where you are appreciated and valued.
Know Your Worth.

This weekend I had the privilege of doing my fist photoshoot with a pup. This big guy was amazing and clearly loved the camera. (Laura was pretty awesome to work with too.) Thank you for thinking of me to capture your memories.

Looking at photos from last year and wondering if it's too soon to be thinking about autumn photoshoots? Nah, I'm ready for cooler weather, bonfires, hayrides, FOOTBALL and all of the fall things!!!

Our Indiana Jones tribute is LIVE — Benson Gregory Photography My wife and I are huge fans of the Indiana Jones movies, so when we heard about the release of "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" this summer, we knew what we had to do. Inspired by our love for the franchise, we decided to organize an Indiana Jones-themed styled photoshoot with sever
Wow. That’s a bad day. I guess the good thing about not having a $12,000 lens is not having to worry about this kind of thing! 😂

More from our inspired by Indiana Jones series. This set features the amazing Marie and a little Photoshop AI. We kept the instructions intentionally vague, and let the models decide what they thought a female Indy-type character would look like or inspire.
I've been working on a couple projects recently, and this image of Destin is from one of them. I'm so happy with this photo I can't put it into words. I've been studying lighting styles of some of the great photographers going back decades. I'm fascinated with their use of light. Here's my attempt to recreate some of those lighting techniques with the amazing Destin.
We were a little late this year but finally got to do birthday portraits for the always amazing and fierce Fierce Photography
Saw this beautiful scene while out this morning. Unfortunately I only had my iPhone with me.
It's Friday night! This photo of Bethany makes me think of a film noir murder mystery. Have a great weekend and maybe enjoy a classic movie.

About Me
As long as I can remember I have loved taking pictures. I always jumped at the opportunity to take a camera on class filed trips or family vacations. Digital cameras kicked my passion into high gear. I was fortunate to find work as a commercial and product photographer. A few years later I found my niche as a landscape photographer, but I also really enjoy creating artistic portraits. I love working with people who are artistic and have a big dream.
