IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

Steve and I are super excited to announce that we have written and recorded a full length album entitled “In Bo***ge to Blood”. We self-produced, mixed, and mastered this all by ourselves in my loft at home. Despite the small budget we think the songs hit hard and can’t wait for people to hear them. It’s a blend of unique songs that run the gamut from old school death metal, to metalcore, and melodic hardcore. We started writing the songs for this back in late April and wrapped up production in August. It’s been a long but fun process venturing into new territory and dabbling in “armchair” audio engineering. It’s far from perfect but raw and intense.

“In Bo***ge to Blood” means a few things. Mainly the theme comes from the fact that our consciousness is bound by our frail physical form. The title track explores the great things we can accomplish with our minds and what more we could accomplish if we weren’t tied to flesh and bone. There are a handful of songs on this album that deal with inescapable death or the process of dying through the lens of mental disease. We can’t cut out innate weaknesses of the body.

Secondly, it explores the idea that humanity seemingly cannot separate itself from its desire or affinity for violence. “Bury the Parasite” acknowledges war is a constant throughout history and it doesn’t appear that humanity has the strength to change. “Triple Murder” walks into the world of a serial killer with the knowledge that there are too many psychopaths, just like the one Steve wrote about, roaming this earth. On the flip side of that coin, talked about in “Watch Your Back (Not Dead Yet)”, is the idea that when oppressed, the many will always rise up against the powerful few even if that means taking power back through bloodshed.

In another sense, “In Bo***ge to Blood” refers to your own personal faults that are ingrained in who you are, and the fear that you may pass the same faults down to your children, as explored in “Worst of Me.” Or as a child, being unable to escape entirely the framework passed down genetically from your parents that play a part in shaping who you are, and the potential struggles with that.

However it’s interpreted though, hopefully you guys can relate to some of these songs or at the very least bang your head to them. Lyrics will be attached to each song on streaming services. We plan on releasing this on all digital platforms on Friday November 3rd. If you’ve read this far, thank you! Tracklist and album art below:

Watch Your Back (Not Dead Yet) 18/08/2023

WATCH YOUR BACK (NOT DEAD YET) live now! Check it out on YouTube or Apple Music now and any streaming service in the days to come.

This song is a classic rebellion song about the many rising up against the tyrannical few to bring about justice. No matter how pretty those “above” us sit, they are vulnerable to the will of the masses. Lyrics and song link below!

“Watch your back
We are not dead yet

Blind leaders rule with an iron fist
The hammer falls with wild variance
There’s no meat in the middle
It’s all fat and gristle
Each clumsy strike exposing the soft underbelly of the beast

Defiance
Defiance
Revealing ignorance
Defiance
Defiance
Irrefutable violence

You make decisions from your mountaintop…
Each step you take causes an avalanche
The power seems to lie with unmarred silhouettes
Where the worn boots on the ground are merely marionettes
Juxtaposed as if for dramatic effect
Watch your back
We are dead yet
We are not dead yet”
