If you're a doodle owner then its highly likely your dog groomer will have explained the importance of brushing inbetween appointments, especially if you like their coat longer or the "teddy" style, and we always know if you have or not! 😂👊🏾
This picture for example, the right leg is how she arrived after being brushed at home, the left is after I have line brushed it out, see the difference? This type of fur with the tighter curls can become matted pretty easily so brushing is important!

I took Sox for his first Hydrotherapy session today! 💦

I noticed his legs were getting a little stiff (and he's put on a couple of lbs 🙈) so i looked into some additional exercise which would be more kind to his joints as his walks are limited as he gets older (he's 12 this month 🥹)
I found a place just 10 minutes away from me Northwest Canine Hydrotherapy Rehab & Leisure Pool who were brilliant. He had a health assessment prior to entering the water and they were great with him, not like he doesn't love the extra fuss! Didn't take him long to get the hang of it, clever lad!
Looking forward to seeing the benefits and we're booked in again next week! 🥰

Remember, if it’s too hot for your hands or your bare feet, then it’s too hot for their paw pads! ⚠️

If you’re unsure whether it’s okay to let your pet go for a walk on pavements, a simple way to test the temperature is by holding your bare skin on the tarmac for five seconds ⏱️

If you find it painful, then your pet will find it painful to walk on!

To protect your pet, it’s best to avoid walks during the hottest part of the day, which is usually between 8am and 6pm. If you can't safely exercise your dog, missing a day won't hurt.

JUST A REMINDER, TO ALL DOG OWNERS.

⚠️🚙⚠️ Despite the warnings, hundreds of dogs in the UK die every year after being left in a hot car. Someone you know may need to read this very important message ⚠️🚙⚠️

SIX MINUTES is all it takes for a dog to overheat in a hot car.

Your dog could suffer serious injury or die in a matter of minutes if left alone in a car.

• The temperature inside a closed vehicle left in the sun can double within 12 minutes.

• At least 75% of the temperature increase in a closed vehicle occurs within 5 minutes of closing the vehicle, and at least 89% of the temperature increase occurs within 15 minutes of closing the vehicle.

• Temperatures exceeding 104˚ F can lead to death or serious injury for the occupants.

• Temperatures in a closed vehicle sitting in the hot sun can reach 160˚F and above. An animal will suffer immeasurably and may die before the temperature reaches 150˚F.

• Even when parked in the shade, the vehicle temperatures can exceed 104˚C.

• Leaving windows down more than 2 inches on an unattended vehicle will not prevent a car from reaching extreme temperatures.

• Even if the animal is revived, they can die due to severe internal organ damage.

Your dog trusts you to have their best interest at heart ALWAYS.
Please don’t risk their safety.

If you are not taking your dog inside your destination with you, PLEASE leave them at home where they are comfortable and safe.

Hi everyone, another update and asking for a bit of help with our Skyler. We need to raise £6000/£7000 for an MRI scan and operation for her. She's stable for the moment after her second surgery yesterday to stop the internal bleeding. She was so close to dying yesterday from that. Today, she has eaten some good finally but is still unable to stand up and use her back legs. She can feel pain in them and move them but can't stand up on her own. The vets think it could be a slipped disk pressing on a nerve. This is why she needs this scan and operation to help if it's needed.
