With a Side of Crime
Welcome to With a Side of Crime, a true crime podcast/cooking show. We indulge in my two favorite things, eating and true crime.
The food featured on this show pair best with a side of crime.

For today's we want to focus on Yasmin Acree. Yasmin was 15 when she was taken from her Chicago home. On January 15, 2008, Yasmin had a half day at school and then went to her local YMCA afterward. The next day, someone in the home noticed the locks on the basement door (Yasmin stayed in the basement) were cut and room had been burglarized. Her family did not report her missing because they assumed that she was at school.
Yasmin's family has no answers as to where she is. One person serving jail time claimed that she committed su***de and that he assisted her but there's no evidence to support that claim.
The new episode about Eugenie Boisfontaine was supposed to be coming this week but with grad school quite literally stomping a hole into my chest, that’s being postponed again. One of these days I’ll have a consistent schedule. But when I’m doing working on this cold case at the end of the semester, I’ll be so ready to share the deets on that 😬
We’re back. Next episode is going to be on the cold case of Eugenie Boisfontaine. An entire show was dedicated to trying to crack the case of her murder, however, they were unsuccessful. Find out more about Eugenie’s case in our next episode. Subscribe wherever you listen to your podcast.
I eat, sleep and breathe this s**t, no room for anything else
I’ve been on hiatus for a long time Bc life is wild. But I’m actually now working on a cold case for school. 😬 I just want to share some memes and ask what’s your preferred podcast format?? Thinking of changing mine
I know I haven’t been active and I do hope to get back into the swing of things. I hope everyone is doing well and staying spooky during the pandemic. I’m sure you’ve had PLENTY of time to listen to all your favorite pods. What’s your favorite true crime podcast right now? Or your favorite case?

By definition an angel of mercy is supposed to be a messenger from god. Along the lines of Saint Michael the archangel. In this context, it can’t be any more opposite. In the healthcare field, an angel of mercy is a mercy killer. They practice mercy killing on the willing or unwilling, knowing or unknowing, depending solely on the killer’s sense of a patient’s level of suffering. Just a short little episode to kick off the second half of season 1. Part 2 is coming at ya next Sunday. •
