Sugar is set to increase 48% this year compared to prices last year.

Flour is set to increase 50% in 2023, most of this increase has already happened.

Eggs have increased 30%.

Butter increased 33% last year alone and has already risen again by another 30%.

Milk by 50%.

Chocolate 42%.

Cocoa powder 21%.

Jam 57%.

Double cream 50%.

This doesn’t include other things like boards, boxes, fondant, colours, gels, supports, gas, electric, water etc.

Please be kind to bakers who are quoting for cakes. Hours go into making these creations for your special day. We also need to be able to support our families.

Sometimes it does go wrong so you break it up and feed it to the humans you live with because you’re not a big fan of eating cake yourself and don’t like to see waste, then you try again!😭

Finally finished. Wasn’t happy with my handmade letters, so ended up making a plaque and having to hand write with melted chocolate. Still wasn’t happy with that but ran out of time
