One thing is for certain, I am obsessed with Kelsey Finnie Glass and her work.

It's not typically my style to share work in progress or talk about what I'm gonna do. I'm more of a final results, work is done kinda girl. Don't talk about, be about it. Something like that. But, I've enjoyed these test pieces so much, and they look so beautiful in my home that I just couldn't resist a little tease for the .

Kelsey and I will have some exciting blown glass candle options coming your way in the near future in the form of repurposed seconds. These are items that have been discontinued, items that had been sitting, test pieces, trial colorways, etc.

I'm still in the sorting and testing phase on the pieces Kelsey gave me. You know we don't rush when it comes to producing safe, quality work. The date of release and how we present it to you all are decisions that we haven't firmed up as of yet. These things will be dependent on satisfactory test results and when the pour can be scheduled. Likely, we're looking at the first part of 2025.

It's good to have something to look forward to, and in the meantime, I'll continue to burn candles in my home that make me feel like the fanciest, bougiest woman in the land. I'm really leaning into the candle snob life, and I fear there is no going back.

CANDLES SO GOOD, IT'S SCARY!
Years of testing, scent sampling, product development, and product improvement are showing up at SPOOKY SUMMER. The launch of this latest premium collection boasts our most potent and sophisticated lineup of fragrances to-date.

Our premium line has been poured with a higher fragrance load and cured longer, providing the with the absolute best soy wax candle-burning experiencce yet. I'm only getting better at my job here, folks.

Now, higher fragrance loads, combined with the value of my time spent testing and engineering absolutely have a cost, and 2024 pricing will be adjusted to reflect that. My SPOOKY SUMMER guests, however, are my VIPs, and y'all will be trick-or-TREATED to special event pricing. SPOOKY SUMMER guests will be able to shop the newest collection at 2023 prices!

The "ARABIAN NIGHTS" colorway is a very special release, inspired by Kelsey's trip to New York.

In Kelsey's words: As "an avid Broadway fan, I see almost every show that comes to town. While my mom and I were in NYC, we saw Aladdin and I was so inspired by the set design and colors, I took a mental snapshot and knew this had to come to the StayLITcrew! What's extra special about this candle is I used a special color called Adventurine Blue and it gives off the most perfect shimmer and sparkle for that extra luxurious feel."

The jar has a story intertwined with its purple, blue, and orange hues, but the fragrance sets the mood.

The scent selected is reminiscent of an Arabian street market, capturing the smell of wandering through the market stalls ripe with fine linens, pottery, crafts, spices, teas, and incense.

Due to the forecast, East Beach/EOV Farmers Market is CANCELED for this weekend. I am going to reschedule our appearance, so you'll be able to find Heather at EBFM for both the remaining Saturday's in July.

Smithfield Farmers Market is not canceled... but PCCC will not be at SFM. They are moving the market indoors at the Smithfield Center this Saturday only. Please check out their social media pages for more information. PCCC will reschedule, and we'll see you on the 20th and 27th.

Don't forget that Harvest Market at Oozlefinch is still happening this weekend; however, this is our scheduled weekend off so that I can work in the lab. Go out and support HMO this Sunday, and we'll see you all back in Fort Monroe on the 21st!

Local Math: money that spends differently and works differently when it stays in your community.

I am personally growing increasingly frustrated with the ads and lures of convenience when it comes to how we are all being conditioned to spend our hard-earned dollars.
Why? For one, most of the time, I feel like the quality of these foreign-based products is not great. Two, I know where my money is going when I shop big-brand retail or commercial food chain, and it isn't going into the hands of the workers creating the products, which is where it should be. Honestly, it all gives me the ick the more I ruminate on it.

I'm not saying that we can totally avoid it. I joke all the time that I wish I knew someone that made plastic skeletons locally.
I am definitely guilty of spending some money in places I really wish I didn't have to; BUT, when it comes to my dollars and cents, I go out of my way to make sure that I'm spending it with local farms, restaurants, and small businesses FIRST.

Seeing the support at our farmers markets is comforting because I know that I'm not alone in this battle to put community first and make sure that my friends and neighbors eat and pay their bills before the Jeff Bezos' of the world do.

I am a proud supporter and vendor at some of the finest farmers markets in the state of Virginia. Every weekend, I am surrounded by fresher produce than what is at the grocery store, locally raised and produced meats and eggs, baked goods that will sn**ch your wig right off your head, and some of the finest artisan products you'll ever find. Hidden gems, if you will.

You want to know what else you'll find at these markets? Real customer service and people that are happy to be where they are. It's like stepping into a different world. If you're tired of feeling like you and your money are underappreciated, start flexing your .
