New Universal Flat Jaw tong kits are available in both small (13") and large.(16"). This kit is made from 3/8" thick steel that has been cut to a very robust and sturdy shape for you to form your own tongs. This tong was designed by me with inspiration of an old design that is no longer produced and over 30 years of blacksmithing and blade smithing experience to draw from. The unique thing about these tongs is that when completed they can allow you the ability to hold multiple shapes, thicknesses and styles of square stock and plate or flats as well as irregular thicknesses and shapes and tapers such as knife blades and knife tangs. Many options exist for you to customize these. Kit comes with two different tong halfs, forged "foot", tong “finger”, large rivet and small rivet
The tongs are diy kit and will take basic blacksmithing / fabrication skills. Each type of tongs have enough material to forge the reins out 1” to 2” depending on your skill.

They are finally ready! This is a type of blacksmith / knifemaker tongs that I designed a year ago. I have turned the design into the Enhanced Universal Blacksmith Tong Kit. This kit is made from 3/8" thick steel that has been cut to a very robust and sturdy shape for you to fabricate your own tongs. The unique thing about these tongs is that when completed they pivot to allow you the ability to hold multiple shapes, thicknesses and styles of stock as well as irregular thicknesses, shapes and tapers such as knife blades and knife tangs (see photos). Many options exist for you to customize these. Kit comes with two different tong halfs, forged "foot", large rivet and small rivet. I make these kits to order but if I have any in stock I will ship them right away. They can ship in a medium flat rate box. $30 ea PM me if your interested.

Progression of a one piece forged Tomahawk

Viking Seax with an 11 1/2" blade and hand forged handguard and pommel. Has a blood groove forged into the blade on both sides. Handle is burnt walnut handle and has a leather sheath with hangers.

A blend of the old and the new. My Modern take on the traditional Japanese Katana. 22" long blade, 2" wide and 34" long overall with a full tang canvas micarta handle wrapped in flat coyote Brown paracord. Has steel Tsuba (handguard) with brass fittings.
