To all levels of Public and Private Schools in the Municipality of Villaverde:

Due to the recent extreme heatwave experienced and the possible increase in the high heat index to 42-44 degrees Celsius in Nueva Vizcaya for the succeeding days according to PAGASA, we are implementing a โ€˜temporary adjustmentโ€™ of class hours to ensure the well-being of our students and staff starting tomorrow, April 22, Monday, until sooner lifted through a similar advisory, the following changes will be made:

๐Ÿ“Œ Morning Classes will begin at 6:30 AM and end at 11:30 AM
๐Ÿ“Œ Afternoon Classes are SUSPENDED

Alternative modes of learning may be resorted to by schools and its administrators.

Our heartfelt gratitude to all those who helped in the initial phase(scraping of dilapidated concrete pathway) of our school's Project DALAN. To MLGU Villaverde thru Hon. Atty. Ronelie Valtoribio, and the three, dumptruck operators: Joel Bodomo Jr, Jordan Dung-ao and Ariel Afalla; to our district supervisor who inspired us to undertake this project; To BLGU Ocapon headed by Kap. Ronald Baglan Sr and the council, Kgd Gilbert Laguna, Kgd. Tony Linhing, the backhoe owner and operators, my fellow teachers of OES, and of course the supportive parents and other stakeholders. This event served as a vibrant platform for schools with IP learners (Ocapon Elementary School and Ernesto "Lapan" Pale Elementary School) and local units to come together, fostering a spirit of unity and appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of the Ayangan community.

This celebration was a testament to the school's commitment to cultural diversity and inclusivity, marking a milestone in its journey toward fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for the indigenous peoples who contribute to the vibrant mosaic of Filipino culture.

Ocapon Elementary School participated in the nationwide tree planting activity, "DepEd's 236,000 Trees- A Christmas Gift for the Children."

This activity aims to "provide unique educational opportunity for students to actively participate in tree planting activities, fostering a deeper understanding of environmental issues promoting conservation efforts. Through hands-on learning and practical application of environmental concepts, students will develop a strong sense of responsibility towards the environment." (DepEd Memo No. 069, s.2023)
