This drawing is one of my favorites of the entire year! ❤️

Today I found this beautiful oil painting I made last year. 🧡 You can tell I‘m drawn to monochromatic. ☺️
I spent this whole year on improving my drawing skills so I completely forgot about all the paintings I’ve made 😄

It was actually a part of my latest series but since it’s the only one I created on wood, I decided to not include it.
It’s a little loner just like me. 😊

I attended such a great live workshop at for sketchbook drawing 📓✍🏼 by Sketchbook Artist and Illustrator

learned so many new approaches and techniques that made me curious and I'm definitely going to dig deeper on 🤩

Also it was super inspiring to meet other artists and sketchbook nerds, sit and draw together while having great conversations.❤️

Hey everyone ❤️ it’s time for a introduction post I guess. I do this one in English. 😁

My name is Henni I‘m a visual artist living in Germany in Rosenheim. I work in my basement which is okay for now but i plan to find a studio place this year.
I paint with oil most of the time, I just love that smell 😂 can’t help. But i also love to play around with different subjects and theme’s.
My colors are mostly warm and dark. I like the cosines and this nostalgia mood that comes with it. 🍸
I started this journey 3 years ago I can’t believe it. ✨

People always tell me my art is moody or dark, i really don’t understand what these people are talkin about. 😂 I love what I do and I do it with joy and happiness. I think people put their own filters on your art. If they want to see darkness they will see it. 🤭

Things that inspire me are various. Photography, old Books, People and sometimes places. and also Botanicals. ❤️

I love to watch other artists thriving, that makes me feel empowered to go my own way no matter what other people say or think.

Well the fact that I‘m a fu**in introvert makes me often want to disappear 🫥 and hide, which is quite annoying bc „to be seen“ is exactly what I need to grow as an artist 🙃 (crazy world)

I always try to evolve my skills and get better in everything. I started with drawing and making good progress 😊

I also love books, ci**rs, spending time alone and my car 🚙 (his name is Bambam)

Bin heute morgen sehr früh aufgestanden (04:30) um die Portrait Studie nochmal zu starten. Ich kann es kaum erwarten heute Abend weiter zu machen... ☺️

Dieses hier gefällt mir besonders gut. Ich hab schon eine tolle Idee für den Rahmen.

Ist euch schon einmal aufgefallen, wie schön getrocknete Blumen sind? Mir schon, und ich finde sie sogar noch schöner als frische Blumen. Mag sein, dass es einfach an meinem Hang zu monochromen Farbtönen liegt, oder aber es steckt vielleicht noch was anderes dahinter.

Ich versuchte genau das herauszufinden, indem ich mich damit künstlerisch auseinandersetzte.

Es ist mir gelungen, aber eine finale Antwort hab ich nicht gefunden. Vielmehr zeigt sich dass es nur ein Teil eines großen Rätsels ist, das sich „meine Persönlichkeit“ nennt. Ja, ich bin mir selbst das größte Rätsel und mit jedem gemalten Bild, jedem Versuch etwas zu erreichen, mit jedem Scheitern und neu anfangen, mit allem was ich bin und was ich nicht bin, löst sich ein Teil und zeitgleich entsteht an anderer Stelle ein weiteres. Das gefällt mir irgendwie. ❤️💁🏻‍♀️🥂

Hey! Ich war lange still, weil ich einfach wirklich nichts zu erzählen hatte.
Aber jetzt bin ich fast soweit 😊💁🏻‍♀️. Am Wochenende hab ich endlich die Rahmen besorgt und obwohl noch nicht alle ganz trocken sind, werde ich mich schon mal um die Passepartouts kümmern 👌🏼🖼️

I can’t really talk about the theme and subject right now. Because I have to figure it out first for myself.
I’m just kind of drawn to dried botanicals somehow. 🥹
