Final Conference Meeting has been started with over 150 participants. Due to pandemic circumstances, we planned the meeting as hybrid (online & face-to-face).
Thank you all partners, seafarers, and doctors for supporting the project with your participation.
The last conference meeting of the MariHEALTH Project will be held on Wednesday, March 30th at 13:30 Turkish time. The final conference meeting will be held in hybrid (physical + online) at ITU Tuzla campus, hosted by HSSGM. International partners are free to attend the final conference meeting via Zoom (online). Project outputs (online training modules, evaluation modules, certification, MariHEALTH mobile application, etc.) will be presented to end users. We look forward to your physical and online participation.

KICK-OFF MEETING was held in Istanbul, Turkey!
The kick-off meeting of the Erasmus + KA2 Strategic Partnership for vocational education and training project MariHEALTH (Maritime Health Trainings for Seafarers and Doctors) was held in January 30, 2020 in Tuzla, Istanbul, Turkey. The meeting was hosted by Maritime Faculty of Istanbul Technical University.
The representatives from the project partners focused on the details of project management and implementation, project activities and task, intellectual outputs during the first transnational project meeting. The partners joined a study visit to Istanbul Technical University – Maritime Department.
NEXT MEETING
The 2nd transnational meeting will be held in May 2020 in Glasgow, UK. The partner meeting will be hosted by the project partner, University of Strathclyde.

ITU Faculty of Maritime Erasmus + Vocational Training Program 2019 Main Action 2 - Strategic Partnerships Vocational Education Strategic Partnerships Project that Supports Innovation was accepted. The MariHEALTH “Maritime Health Trainings for Seafarers and Doctors” of ITU Maritime Faculty was supported by the EU Erasmus + Program. The actions under Erasmus+ KA2 make it possible for organizations from different participating countries to work together, to develop, share and transfer best practices and innovative approaches in the fields of education, training, and youth.
MariHEATH project will develop a unique online training course under web-based e-learning/training platform and the medical knowledge performance of seafarers and maritime doctors will be evaluated.
The potential longer benefits of the projects are recognition of training program by European sea transportation operators will not only raise health consciousness of seafarers to the end of making them more knowledgeable, but it will also immensely contribute to train maritime doctors.
