Sundays are for feeding our soul, and nothing does it better than a warm, nourishing bowl of homemade soup filled with healthy spices.
This delicious recipe is not only comforting but also packed with ingredients that offer a range of wellness benefits.
Spiced Tomato & Onion Soup
Ingredients:
🧅 2-3 medium onions, chopped
🫒 Olive oil for sautéing
🍅 1 tin of organic plum tomatoes
💧 Water (adjust for desired consistency)
Spices
🔸3/4 tsp Celtic sea salt
🔸1 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
🔸 1/2 tsp ginger powder
🔸 2 shots of fresh ginger juice
🔸 1 small bulb of garlic or 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
🔸 1 tsp turmeric
🔸 1 1/2 tsp ground coriander
🔸 1 1/2 tsp cumin
🔸 1 1/2 tsp paprika
🔸 1 1/2 tsp fenugreek
🔸 1/2 tsp garam masala
Method:
1. Sauté the chopped onions in olive oil until golden.
2. Add the tin of organic plum tomatoes and water to reach your preferred consistency.
3. Mix in the spices and simmer for 30 minutes to let the flavours blend.
4. Blitz until smooth for a rich, warming soup.
