MARTIN AND TURNER TO RETURN AS DRIVERS FOR NITRO 54 RACING WITH CREATIVE EDGE IN 2023

OHSWEKEN, Ont. (September 12, 2022) – Nitro 54 Racing with Creative Edge team principals Dan Nanticoke and Steve Lyons are pleased to announce that drivers Liam Martin and Ryan Turner will return for the 2023 Sprint Car season.

Martin campaigned the No. 9 for his second full 360 Sprint Car season in 2022. The 19-year-old driver from Binbrook, Ontario has claimed three feature wins and finished second in the 360 Sprint Car championship standings at Ohsweken Speedway this season. Martin finished fifth in the Southern Ontario Sprints tour standings, and currently sits sixth in Knights of Thunder series points.

Turner joined the No. 15 team in early August, and settled in quickly with two feature wins and four podium finishes. The 31-year-old Dunnville, Ontario driver finished third in the 2022 Ohsweken Speedway 360 Sprint Car standings, claimed the 2019 Southern Ontario Sprints tour championship, and won the 16th Running of the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals earlier this season. Turner is currently fourth in the Knights of Thunder series standings, and finished fourth in the Southern Ontario Sprints tour points.

“We are very excited to be back racing the number 15 Nitro 54 Racing with Creative Edge car for the 2023 season," Turner exclaimed. "(I) feel like what we have already accomplished in the last month is just a start of what’s to come; as Dan, Steve, Brandon, Jenna, Braedon and myself put our great equipment, knowledge, and experience together, we are gaining speed every time we hit the track. We are looking to finish out the 2022 year strong and can’t wait to see what the 2023 season brings.”

The team plans to compete for the Ohsweken Speedway track championship again in 2023, along with selected events in Canada and the United States; they will start the season in February with a trip to Florida to compete at East Bay Raceway Park and other facilities in the region.
