Took a photo last winter in the same spot on the way to visit a cruiser friend. Crazy at how summer flies by so fast and in 2 months- it will be white again! ⛄️ Year-round cruising for the win!

Fall is falling! Awesome to cruise the back roads and see the vibrant colours of autumn. Alberta is putting on a wonderful show at the moment! Any excuse to get Yoda out to explore!

Back home after an awesome trans-Alberta road trip. Lloydminster to Jasper and back. An easier weekend trip for Edmonton people! It’s a different world to have a picnic down by a glacier fed river. Yoda just keeps on going better and better- a vintage Land Cruiser will never die. The BJ40 does have its advantages over the FJ40. 8.3 l/100km or 28 mpg (US) Keep on cruising!

Our first day out in Halifax and trust us to find a cruiser! Keep your eyes open for Jon and who have just landed in Canada from Switzerland and heading to South America… eventually. The ultimate overland cruiser- a troopy with the 1hz- bulletproof!

And just like that we see the back end of the weekend…and a mint 70 series camouflaging into the snow. Cruiser season is around the corner- bring on spring of 2023!

Nothing like driving in some fresh powder! The snow makes everything so crisp and clean. Couple of weeks out until thaw and spring breakup- Yoda waits that mess out! Getting some exploring done now…

Guess it’s that time of the week… front end Friday! Looking forward to having a little more greenery in the photos besides Yoda.

Yoda is getting way more activity this winter! We even tried to go for a walk to the park- Yoda enjoyed -20 more than we did! 🥶 Mandatory evening parking lot photo… of course.

What’s the thoughts on the white wheels? I always go back to stock 15’s. Anyone verify if these are old school Dick Cepeks?

Looking forward to summer and more road tripping. Feels like a lifetime ago already. Mountains, lakes and sunshine- we’re coming for you! This was Jasper on the way home…

We’re officially in winter! Forecast is calling for -40 windchills this coming week. That’s the same point in Fahrenheit and Celsius… No cold-start videos today 😂 Whats your cut-off temp for not taking the cruiser to work? ❄️

Fall is falling! A quick pause to enjoy the view over the North Saskatchewan river. Can’t beat the colours around at the moment 🍁

Taking every opportunity to get some more miles behind the wheel of Yoda before winter. We might be able to get away for one more trip to the mountains to catch the fall colours. Hopefully we still have 6 weeks left till the first snow. What’s your guess?

The orange jerry can has become quite the trademark of Yoda. The accessories that I’ve picked up, just happen to always be orange 😂 Orange Kayak, orange hi-lift jack… Going to need to spend some time in the sunshine state!

We made it through Monday! Next Monday is a holiday so can plan a long weekend… where to? Mountains or lakes? 🏔

As the weekend rolls in, it’s another reason for exploring! Coffee and Cruisers on the cards… 👌

Hunting… Tracked down a Pollux Orange one. 20 years of sitting in the field has had its toll on it- not sure if worth the battle to bring back to life! What’s your favorite FJ colour?And yup… Bezel Police 🚔.

Happiness is: beautiful scenery, a wicked cruiser and most importantly- a steady 100km/h up hills 😂 The little B diesel has loved the miles to burn off the cobwebs.

The best co-pilot is always vital to the success of the ultimate road-trip! .pilates aka Twit has that role covered- overseeing operations and snoozing 90% of the way!

What an epic roadtrip! 3539km (2200 miles) to the coast at Prince Rupert BC and back to Lloydminster. Here is one of our last stops in Jasper National Park overlooking the Rocky Mountains….

Soggy start to the morning in Smithers! Caffeine kick at before hitting the road! .

A bit optimistic on the timing- no BJ40 option and there is clearly a substantial mountain range between us and our final destination! 😂

1800km over 3 days. Prairies to the sea. Yoda is now in Prince Rupert- Canada’s most western city. Now for some more exploring and sea food!

Day 2 and just on 1000km covered… Yoda is a trooper! Got a cruiser? USE IT! For us doing a roadtrip in an FJ40 makes it so much more special… Creating memories.

Some fresh OEM sun visors- I can see clearly now... 🎵 I must confess- they’ve been sitting in the box for a year 🙈 Had to chop out the front roll cage that was added on by first owner…

Driving a classic cruiser is like being a Viking. When leaving on a roadtrip- “May the winds be with you….” 😂 Did a shake down run today in preparation for our 2500 mile roadtrip we’re planning! Good to go 👍
