Adk kind of morning.
Picture perfect view.
Our home in the hills.
This is a drone shot of our campervan parked in possibly the most epic (and free) campsite we have ever been to. Needless to say we spent a few days at this spot.
Hello everybody!
I have not forgotten about you but it has been a very busy time of life for me and my wife! Hoping to start posting more often đź‘Ť
Here is a great sunrise from last year in Idaho.
Took this photo of a stranger at the Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. I feel like they were good at king of the hill when they were young. 👑⛰️
has spring sprung Âż
This is a Milky Way panorama I took in one of the darker areas of Berks county, PA.
Bryce Canyon
Checking into the Hotel.
Spinning.
Walking on a dream.
Segments of the universe.
This was an attempt at a star trail image but by accident I left the noise reduction setting on. This causes the camera to take a photo without opening the shutter for the same duration of the exposure, in my case 60 seconds. So every star “dash” is equal to 60 seconds, and every gap is also 60 seconds long. I think it looks pretty cool 🤙
The shore of mountain lake, a flowing stream of broken ice.
Back road memories.
It was strange, and I cherished it.
Colorado dreams.
This photo is brought to you by winter cruises on the back roads of Vermont.
One of my personal favorite photos of last year 📸
A cloudy day in Glacier National Park.
Curves of the earth.
đź“ŤDeath Valley National Park
Always ascending.
The first photo is a long exposure of the planet Venus, rising in the morning.
The second photo is a long exposure of “Jupe” rising in the eastern twilight.
Both were photographed with a telephoto lens using the Live Comp feature on my Olympus camera.
Another snap from the enchanted Redwoods National Forest 🌳
Snow comes and goes but the stream always flows.
Made a new friend in Redwoods National Park.
A little light house in Maine paired with some ICM.
Stillness of a frozen world.
This is an image from the white mountains in New Hampshire. My wife and I love to travel to this area and least once a year and it never disappoints.
I must say it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything but I’m glad I have good friends like to motivate me to keep sharing my work!
An impressionistic sunset over the ocean.
For this image I used horizontal camera movement on a tripod to paint a sort of linear composition across the frame. This process is known as intentional camera movement, and is quite satisfying once you get the hang of it.
Catching the morning light on my first high peak!
I made this light trail image by simply holding my headlight while walking up this fire tower in the Adirondacks. It took a few tries to get right but I hiked up at 4am so I naturally had the place to myself.
The wind gusts were honestly around 50mph at the summit so climbing the stairs a few dozen times kept me warm while I waited for the sun to rise.
Hidden horizons.
Late summer days in Bar Harbor â›±
Here is a long exposure I took using the “live composite” mode on my Olympus camera. It produces some very unique textures when there is good cloud movement. This is a minimalist composition of some distant mountains across the ocean at Bar Harbor National Park.
This is an image of the rising sun. I used “live composite” mode, and as the sun rises, it acted like a paint brush creating a star trail of sorts.
Peak foliage and snow capped peaks in the Adirondack mountains. Does it honestly get any better?
It always seems to rain when we are hiking up in the Adirondacks but the moody weather always makes for good time lapses.
Make the way straight.
Standing in the Adirondacks, looking at the Green mountains far in the distance.
The Adirondacks in their new autumn attire.
A short time lapse of the milkyway galaxy rising over the mountains of Idaho.
Aerial view of an upstate NY road.
Summer nights in Idaho.
Palouse Falls.
