Rope for a Cue
I love watching snooker on the TV, those pros make it so easy don't they? I decided to change that and went for a random game with my postman.
I have recently remembered that I love playing snooker but until May 2022 I haven't played for over 15 years.
All frames from my best of 3 match against Brendan Explores are now available to watch. This was the first time I had played on a star table like what the pros use, will these ideal conditions make me look foolish or help raise my game? Frame 1 is at the link but I recommended watching 3 frames (spoiler it goes to a decider)!

Hi all. Sorry for the lack of videos over the past couple of weeks. I have been on holiday in France and whilst I did have a video ready to upload I forgot to do it before I left. However I'm back at the weekend so I will be back on the table from Monday and I'm looking forward to it. In the meantime it's time for a game of Snookerheads with my Wife.
I joined a new snooker club this weekend. Meole Brace in Shrewsbury will still be my main club but Landywood Snooker Club will give me options for fancy heated tables and the ability to book tables which I can't do at my main club. Looking forward to my first session next weekend.
In today's video, I take on the safety shot challenge from the legendary Stephen Hendry and his Snooker Skills Challenges versus other snooker professional players.
Join me as I try to learn the specific shot that is the key to this challenge where from the D you have to hit a ball on the black spot and send the cue ball around three cushions to hit a line of reds on the baulk cushion.

Yesterday the YouTube channel reached 1000 subscribers and therefore full monetisation. I've never been monetised before so I am just learning how to manage adverts. I plan to have natural breaks in my longer videos for adverts going forward but for older videos I have let YouTube place them automatically. I plan to do a channel update style video over the festive period where I will talk about future plans and how monetisation will help.
Thanks to everyone who has watched, liked and commented on any video and especially those who have subscribed!

Last night I had my first ever Shrewsbury League match, I was playing for Meole Brace A team. They were 2021-22 champions and current league leaders. I signed up as 3rd reserve thinking I would probably never get to play but after only about a month of the league running I have been called up.
Well it went better than I thought, not only did the team win 3-1, I won my frame in a fairly tight contest. I got off to a great start but my opponent came back at me such that I was only 2 points ahead with pink and black left. Thankfully I was able to pot the pink and take the frame.
In the middle frame of a recent best of three snooker match with channel regular Isaac, I managed my first yellow to black colours clearance in a real snooker frame.
It looks like the early practice of clearing the colours from their spots has finally paid off in a big way. Join me for the business end of this high standard (for me) snooker frame and watch those colours go in the pockets.

I have been messing with 3d modelling software and a 3D resin printer to make a branded ball marker. It needs a few tweaks as the ball cut out whilst the right size needs to be lower so it fits under the ball better. It works perfect on a smooth surface but I didn't account for the nap of the cloth.
