New Delhi, Sep 16: Ozone layers blocks harmful UV rays from the sun and protects biological processes on the earth which are essential for sustenance of life. If not blocked by Ozone layer, exposure to ultraviolet radiation can increase the risk of cataracts, skin cancer and other detrimental effects among humans.

HOW TO COOK HUMBA‼️

Ingredients:

3 Tbsp oil
2 Tbsp sugar, brown
1 kg pork, kasim, cut into chunks
2 Tbsp black beans (tausi), drained
4 cloves garlic, crushed
1/4 cup DEL MONTE Red Cane Vinegar
2 1/2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 pc bay leaf/laurel leaf
1/2 tsp peppercorn
3 pcs star anise
1 pouch DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce (115g)
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp salt
2 pouches DEL MONTE Pineapple Tidbits (200g), drained, reserve syrup
Preparation

1. In a casserole, cook sugar and pork in oil until sugar has caramelized. Add tausi and garlic and cook for few more minutes or until meat is slightly brown.
2. Add DEL MONTE Red Cane Vinegar, soy sauce, laurel, peppercorn, star anise, and DEL MONTE Original Style Tomato Sauce. Do not stir until it simmers.
3. Add water, reserved pineapple syrup, and salt. Cover and simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender. Add DEL MONTE Pineapple Tidbits. Simmer for 2 minutes.

Chef's Tip

Simmer the dish over low heat until it is tender. Slowly cooking meat makes sure that the meat is not only tender but also flavorful.

Pour water in a soup pot. Let boil.
Add ginger, tomato, and onion. Let the water reboil
Add-in the lemongrass. Cover and boil for 5 to 8 minutes.
Gently slide-in the Tuna. Cover and cook for 12 to 15 minutes.
Add the fish cube and then stir. Cover and continue to cook between low to medium heat for 2 minutes.
Add the hot pepper leaves, scallions, long green pepper, and fish sauce. Stir and cook for 3 minutes.
Transfer to a serving plate. Serve with rice.

Built around World War II, the Tota Simo house was owned by Maximo Gloria and Chrisititota Gloria, not only known for their flourishing business but also for their kindness to the needy. For 7 decades, the house stood as a witness to the generations of descendants of the couple. It has been the center of happiness, success, love and ultimately, loss.

After the death of the owners, the house became the possession of their caretaker who retained the original structure of the building. The inheritance of the house was passed from generation to generation until it came upon the Barliso family.

The Barliso family occupied the house for 23 years and within those years, they have experienced several unusual events that took place within the corners of their very own home.

Shadows. Darkness. Fear.
