It’s been a few years since my parents have been able to visit North County SD... but now that they are here for a minute I’m giving them a little tour of the murals I’ve done since they were here last. They were so excited to see this one in Oceanside then I took them to Cardiff to see my collab mural with - made me so happy to see them ecstatic with my art. ☺️

“Acute” - 12”x12” - Acrylic on wood panel. Another strikes again. Still find it hard to go so far into obscurity that you can’t make out a potential wave or mountain... but I’m working on it...

“Almost” - 12”x12” - Acrylic on wood panel. #3 . It’s called almost because maybe it’s almost done, or it’s almost good or bad... or almost incomplete in it’s form. Or maybe it is what it is and that’s good enough? All part of the process...

“Coronado” - 12”x12” Acrylic on wood panel. This is inspired by natural forms, lines and organic features, which is daily inspiration for me.

I’m not great at abstract. I love it but I have a hard time harnessing it. So, going into 2020 I’m going to try and do an to push myself a bit. I may post it, I may not. But here’s the first: “Allure” acrylic on 12”x12” wood panel.

Thanks for everything 2019. It’s been a life changing year to say the least. A lot of people have told me it took a lot of courage to do the mural tour... I never saw it that way- it was just something I had to do to create art, fulfill some dreams and create new adventures. However, I think this quote does make sense as you have to step out of your comfort zone to make some dreams happen in this life. As 2019 winds down, write your lists for the new year and put them into action! I’m wishing all of you a stellar 2020 full of adventure and excitement! One year ago today my grandmother, Mamoo, passed away at the age of 103. I had flown home from Nashville while being on the just in time to say goodbye to her. My good friend told me she’d wait for me to get home before she passed away and she was right. Her energy and love still echos through this world... but I do wish I could hold her hand and listen to her laugh. I took these photos of her painting back in 2011 when she was still in Florida at her favorite place, Paradise Bay. She loved painting and traveling more than anything (except a dry martini with 3 olives) and she certainly loved her family. Her energy was my co-pilot throughout the mural tour (she loved the van too) and I believe she kept me safe before and after she passed away. I Love you Mamoo, thanks for keeping an eye on all of us... @ Corvallis, Oregon

This portrait was captured by the incredibly talented and it documents the end of an era & journey as I sold VanGO the day after this shot was taken. What began as an idea became a reality for the . Two years of my life building the van, planning the trip and going on an epic journey through the USA painting 30 murals Coast to Coast. I can’t believe it’s already over. Now it’s time to bid farewell to VanGo. A wonderful couple bought the van last week thanks to an intro by my amigo . They will carry on with the spirit of adventure and enjoy the good vibes that gave to me on my journey. The art and I created will still be on there, so if you see them on the road, give them a wave and a smile. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to have had this experience and it will go down as one of the best parts of my life. It couldn’t have happened without so many people, but a mega thanks goes to & for pouring their hearts into the build and making it truly special. Safe travels VanGO...
