Fascinating piece in the possibility of discovering a cure for Male Pattern Hair Loss

Scientists from Northwestern University say they’ve made a breakthrough that could potentially cure male pattern baldness, a common and frustrating condition resulting in hair loss in men.

The researchers say they may have found a potential breakthrough in stimulating hair growth.

Their study reports that human hair follicles stiffen as people age, making hair more difficult to grow. The process is similar to how people’s joints can get stiff as they age, making it more difficult to move around.

According to the researchers, softening hair follicles could make them more likely to produce hair.

The impact of hair loss on self confidence and self visualisation to someone of any age is vast - and to a youngster or teenager this is amplified.

This is such an amazing charity which I am proud to have worked with over the years cutting and styling the hair pieces of some of the inspirational youngsters receiving the awesome support of the The Little Princess Trust.

Listening to their stories and learning how they were coping (and their families too) was one of the most humbling experiences of my lifetime which I will never forget.

I cannot express highly enough the changes in positive confidence and the hope that this charity delivers to all who use it.
