Enjoyed getting out last night to welcome a bunch of new Stratford citizens to Ward 2 with my fellow councilor!

Spending the day before the election with my family. As I’m sitting here with my two little ones, I’m filled with a sense of gratitude. I’ve really enjoyed the campaign and meeting with so many wonderful people, but I’ve really missed my family.
Public service is important, but it’s also important to try and find a balance in our lives. A campaign for elected office doesn’t leave much room for anything else in your life. I’ve been very lucky to have the support of my family to go out and meet the electorate.
We are now turning our thoughts to the election tomorrow. I’m so proud of all of the efforts our team has made. I think it’s natural to think “Did we do enough? Did we manage to connect with voters and did we pay enough attention to what their concerns are?”
The truth is, you’ll never really know. A political campaign is like many creative endeavours; we’re creating something from nothing. We’re taking ideas and dreams and turning them into something tangible.
To all of the people that we’ve met and connected with: a massive THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you for inviting us into your homes. Thank you for trusting us with your concerns and dreams for what our town can look like.
And to all of our volunteers, well-wishers and contributors: THANK YOU. This truly was a team effort from the first minute.
And mostly, a big THANK YOU to my wife, Lisa. You have held things down at home so well while managing to teach a wonderful group of kids and even squeezed a race in. Lisa, you’re my hero!

Wow, where do I begin? When I made the decision to run for councillor in Stratford’s Ward 2, I had no idea what a humbling experience it would be.

Over the past several weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and listen to the residents of Ward 2. It’s clear that residents are proud to call Stratford home and are passionate about continuing to better our community.

I want to thank you for welcoming me into your home, for sharing your concerns, your stories from the past and your vision for the future.

Based on my conversations with the residents, if elected my priorities are:

▶️ Increase the Town’s emergency preparedness

▶️ Create a sustainable development model that works on increasing density in appropriate areas and ensuring new developments are adequately supported by essential services

▶️ Promote safe streets in the town by improving crosswalks and traffic control

▶️ Increase accessibility to ensure all town residents can access amenities in the town

▶️ Expand recreational and educational support for our youth

Over the coming days, I encourage you to connect with your candidates if you haven’t already done so and be sure to practice your right to vote.

I’m committed to our community and am ready to be a strong voice for Ward 2.
